I just got done watching episode 3 and theres a part in it where the fish crew and their captain Cornelius uses technology when he starts to blast the huge beast/octopus. My question is how come he readily had access to technology because wasnt technology just newly discovered by Grune?
It’s possible that races outside Thundera had access to technology, perhaps their ancestors abandoned it while the other races (or natural races of the planet) used it?
right. in the first episode Lion-O was out seeking technology and actually getting some of it, which would indicate that it is in use somewhere, just not within the walls of Thundera
I just assumed that they had traveled pretty far from Thundera and that other parts of the world still have a little tech. I mean they traveled far enough that they were almost completely out of supplies by the time they got to the Sand Sea. Everyone assumes based on the number of episodes that they didn’t travel far before they found the Book of Omens, but I disagree. The traveling just wasn’t on screen.
I guess i was thinking that in the back of my mind as it seems the most plausible, its just nice to hear it from other fans.
This made me think… we haven’t seen any more of the technology conflict after episode 2 I think. Tygra, who mocked Lion-O for believing in technology, have embraced it pretty fast, while Lion-O, who was fascinated with it in the beginning, doesn’t seem to care any more about it.
It would have been nice to see Lion-O finding more about technology, or being eager to help Panthro, or something like that, while the others (Tygra, Cheetara and the kittens) remain a little skeptical about it.
I’m thinking that Lion-O’s eagerness with technology would probably actually hinder him from learning about the more complex stuff at a good pace. I can just picture him trying to help Panthro with the Thundertank and ending up causing something to break/blow up Panthro forbidding Lion-O from helping in the future. 
well Tygra sure made a few fireworks on the Thundertank himself and it looked like Panthro let him keep working on it.
But that’s what I mean… Lion-O should have been the one eager to work in the ThunderTank, and maybe Cheetara and Tygra the ones to get some supplies.
its something i didnt quite understand. Tygra was helping Panthro wire up the Book of Omens instead of Lion-O, who should have been the obvious choice.
and Tygra was all like “I know what i’m doing”. how exactly? shouldnt he have been the person to know the least about what he was doing?
or perhaps they will try to work an angle where Lion-O was most fascinated with it, but Tygra is naturally more adept at it?
That might be… a natural talent he didn’t even know was there.
I agree that whatever traveling they did between Thundera and the Sand Sea was likely very mundane. As we saw in “The Duelist and the Drifter”, a good chunk of time had passed when Lion-O tried to buy supplies.
