A lot of remakes take there own ideas. Look at Teenage mutant ninjas turtles 2003 when it was out and the He-man 2002 when it was out.

Again, read my first post and the Rataro thread. I think they’ll be pretty much rats, dirty, dangerous and feral looking, some brown, some grey or black, with layers of cloth rags with the occassional scrounged up piece of rusty armour, say a single gauntlet or shoulder plate.
Rat Dude! I kind of like the ring of that. But that would mean Ratar-O drinks Caucasians, enjoys bowling and owns a rug that really ties his lair together.

I have a feeling Pumyra’s initial zeal in her desire to kill Lion-O is really going to bite her on her cute little butt in this episode with regard to how the other cats treat her. Lion-O will probably be the only one willing to trust her, but more than that, he may have unquestioning faith in her, which can go a long way towards building a bond between the two of them.

I feel the same about Pumyra’s anger toward Lion-O. And he will trust and defend her regardless of how the other Cats feel about it. But any bond between them will have to stay a friendship if Bengali does show up in the next story; I wouldn’t put it past the writers to show that he and Pumyra are a couple.
I really don’t think we’re going to be seeing Bengali any time soon. Dan Norton posted some art of him from his original pitch back in '99 as a way to throw some of the fans a bone and unlike Pumyra he wasn’t really talked about or even confirmed.
That’s what I meant when I said if Bengali shows up. A lot of us are hoping he does, but we have no guarantee that he will.

WB wouldn’t know what they’d be missing if Bengali weren’t on the show.
Maybe the whole point is that he’ll be a complete surprise instead of being hyped up like Pumyra. Just saying.

I agree, it will be very interesting to watch. Especially cheetara and the kittens reactions, I mean she is supposed to be his protector, right? I think panthro may be grudgingly impressed that she stayed alive iin the pit, and it would be funny if tygra ribbed liono about getting his backside handed to him by a girl! Lol! But I think lionos trust in pumyra will build a bond with the whole team, as he basically states a ‘none of us are perfect, but we are family’ type of thing.

I tend to agree. If we get previews of whatever episode he’s in, I’m hoping he won’t be in them, and will just show up!
