Earle Hyman in Bunheads (EDIT: It’s not him.)

Probably a needless thread but just in case, I just saw hours ago that Panthro himself in the most recent episode of Bunheads and I didn’t know it was him at first until halfway through.

And yes, I watch Bunheads; it’s legitatemly good show really. Anyway, he plays the character of Michael, Fanny’s new boyfriend.

That’s actually Richard Gant, not Earle Hyman. Hulu’s new Face Match feature revealed the truth! Mr. Hyman is almost 86, and I don’t think he takes many roles anymore. In the interview that Nick Mills did with him in 2008, he said that he was preparing for a role in Chekhov’s “Three Sisters” the following February at the Classical Theatre of Harlem. But that was a few years back, and there’s no mention of him in any more recent productions on the Theatre’s website. Likewise, Playbill has nothing on him following that role, short of a Lifetime Achievement OBIE Award in May 2009.
