I do collect DVDs, but that’s about it. I have a big DVD collection… And it grows every year. I make sure to get the DVDs I want…
What are your favorites?
My most prized possession in Ronin Warriors. I have the complete series, including the OVAs (is it OAV?) in English and Japanese. Unfortunately, Bandai stopped producing the set before many people could buy it. I was lucky enough to have gotten it for christmas a few years back… Thundercats comes to mind, as well as Freaks and Geeks, Batman/Batman Beyond, Ducktales… There’s a lot… And I may be getting Star Trek Deep Space Nine season 7 tonight… That would ultimately complete my DS9 DVDs… I have seasons 1-6, and all I need is season 7… Barnes and Noble better sell it!
As far as cartoons go, all 130 “Thundercats” episodes (they were worth the wait) and “X-Men: Evolution”.
X-Men Evolution was really good! I loved it! I need to find out if they have season sets… I hope they do… I just got Star Trek: Deep Space Nine season 7 and Star Trek: The Next Generation Season 2… TNG I got for free. Barnes and noble had a really good deal. Buy one get one free… If only they had season one…
You might want to try a Borders bookstore if there’s one near you. The Borders in my area does have “X-Men: Evolution” in boxed sets in their database, though they might not have them in supply at the time you request them.:bengali:
Recently I just got the region 2 Thundercats Season 1, Volume 1 and will probably get the region 2 Ducktales set next month!
As for what I collect, mostly just old cartoons on DVD. I tend to watch films on pay TV (Sky) Oh I do have a couple of Friends series on DVD as well.
AS far as DVDs go, my collection is mostly TV shows I grew up with and quite a few movies.
As for special DVDs, I have She-Ra “Top Ten” episodes set with the alternate artwork. I believe it was a con special that I ordered through he-man.org. I also have The Greatest American Hero Collectors’ Edition, which contains all three seasons plus some little knick knacks, such as a cape, replica of the suit’s instruction book, etc.
As for the crowning prize of my collection, it would be RoboCop: The Criterion Collection. For those who may NOT know it, when RoboCop was first submitted to MPAA, it was rated X because of the violence. The alterations were made to give it an R rating. The R rated version of Murphy’s shooting death was bad enough for me, but the X rated one was even worse. I’m 34, and Murphy’s shooting death is the most horrific death scene I’ve ever seen. Even today, I have to mute the TV to watch it.
What’s so funny is…Suncoast told me that they did NOT have it…and I found it in the children’s section!:yikes: 
Actually if you haven’t yet, I completely and almost insanely recommend Justice League and Avatar: The Last Air Bender (mostly from the last few eps on season one and all season two.
I can never get enough of those two series.
But on another branch, I’ve collected dvds from series I saw when I was way young, like the Tales of the Green Forest, Dr. Snuggles - which was really hard to find, Simon - the chalk kid- its trippy to see them again as if some lost memory is being replayed and the ones with the music puts me in a daze.

i’m working on the voltron dvds. got the blue lion & yellow lion sets so far. i’d like to get the original uncut japanese version of voltron if @ all possible.
& i guess i’ll have to look for pirates of dark water @ a con somewhere since i don’t think hanna-barbara officially set them for sale yet.
oh & speaking of uncut…any1 know where i can get a copy of the origianlly aired UNCUT version of tcats exodus? exodus was so cinematic & left such an impression on me as a kid.
Im not 100% sure but I thought that exodus was on VHS?

many people have asked about Silverhawks and it is to my understanding from a chat that WB had a few months ago that there are no plans yet on any Silverhawks release. Of course that may all change once WB realizes that 80’s cartoon are making a big comeback. Some 80’s cartoons have seen releases as can be seen with He-Man, Jem,M.A.S.K., Thundercats and the list goes on. Im sure WB will consider Silverhawks at some point in time

Has anyone hear anything on the Hanna Barbera, Galtar and the Golden Lance? I don’t think it lasted too long on TV. Maybe a season or a few shows. I think it was a Saturday morning cartoon show.
Wasn’t there another He-Man? A third one in the series? I believe so and wonder if they will release it in the future. ALl I rememer was He-Man on Battlecat, but Battlecat had no helmet like the old Battlecat. He still had his back armor and he had these protective steele claws. That He-Man seemed okay, more true to the original.
Does anyone remember when Voltron was released between 1999-2002, having 3D graphics? I clearly remember the 3D characters and how dull the atmosphere looked. There was absolutely nothing in the background. The scenes were just dead. The show looked boring and I only remember watching one episode. I’m not exactly sure what happened to it, but i guess it did not do to well.
I am still surprised that the smurfs has not seen a release on DVD. I’d definitely buy that.
Call me crazy, but if the Care Bears were to be released on DVD, I’d buy that too. It was actually good, believe it or not. Lol…
Actually that DVD boxset you saw on Amazon was believe it or not someone who had made bootleg DVD with some damn good box art. A lot of people thought it was an official release but turns out it was an independent seller. How it got on Amazon is beyond me but I dont think that seller is on there anymore
