Driller Bootleg

Saw this on EBay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/DRILLER-Bootleg-Thundercats-Action-Figure-LJN-vintage-1987-Ram-Pagers-knockoff-/171790524672?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item27ff836100

I’ve seen a lot of bootlegs of the common figures like Lion-O, Mumm-Ra, Panthro, Monkian etc. But never saw a Driller knock off so I thought I’d share it here. It’s not really that bad, and I like the silver paint!

That silver paint is lookin’ pretty good.

I noticed that too. It’s not a horrible job actually and as you said its odd to see bootlegs outside of the common figures (although I believe I have seen one of these before). I am assuming someone decided to do a Driller knowing it’s scarcity and is desirable among collectors. I will be interested to see what it sells for.

Yes, I totally agree with you adssse. The front looks ok but the back mechanism is a messy mass of plastic that looks semi-melted. But still, I guess that for people who collect bootlegs, it must be a rare find.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a Stinger Bootleg but I do recall seeing one of the Astral Moat Monster. Strangely, it was green in color!

I’ve seen a few of these on there over the last few months, with various colour schemes. Never seen them before, i wonder where they a popping up from.

I really wish I had got a vintage Driller when I had my vintage figure collection.
