Have you ever watched the cartoon and really want to just jump through the screen at some points and talk some sense into any one of the characters in any given situation?
I have - usually when it came to the villians capturing the Thundercats and going around with giving them a prolonged demise; giving them ample time to be rescued/escape. I would love to smack some sense into those villians and remind them of that fact and insist that if they want the Tcats destroyed, not to waste a moment by giving out useless monolgues and dispose of them while the opportunity presented itself to them. It would be like shooting fish in a barrel, for cripes sake.
Yes, I have had moments like that whenever a character in a show is not doing what is obviously the only thing to resolve the situation. I also have a problem like yours when characters stall in doing something. Procrastination in cartoons really bothers me. :irked:
I love the way Mumm-Ra always gives you a running commentary of his thoughts at every stage of his plan…
The nature of story telling is to provide the viewer with superior knowledge to the character… There is an actual term for this… I was told it in English at school…but I can’t remember it.. If Mumm-Ra repeated all of his plots (that stretched the Thundercats to the limits)all at the same time in a similar way to when he resurected all of the machines that the thundercats had faced… he might have stood a chance..
But anyway.. i think we take this cartoon to serious sometimes…it was for kids who wanted to see the Thundercats fight and win each week..

Well, d-uh!
I’m sure everyone here is fully aware that this is a children’s cartoon of the eighties and as such, it always meant that the heroes would always win in the end. it was like this with many a cartoon, TV show, movies etc and still goes along with that same plot even in today’s media.
But, this thread was created for fun. A humor thread that gives the members here a chance to share with others what they would do if - by some weird cosmic/inexplicable phenomenon (sp?) - they had the opportunity to change the outcome in any given scene that just made them go wtf, etc.
Oh yes, I would certainly make changes.
Now, to be fair.. I sorta like the kittens. But I view them as having a slight discipline problem. They’ve been grounded before or at least “restricted to the lair”, yet they seem to fail to grasp the concept of good behavior.
Perhaps it would be best if one of the adults, or even Snarf took matters into their own hands and gave those two a few good swats on the rear. Nothing brutal or cruel, but firm enough to drive home the point that “Yes.. your are both still kittens, and will be treated as such until further notice!”

It’s just for fun.

Appologies Mitts lol, I just read my last sentence back and realised how obvious and unnecessary it was..:banghead: I agree that Thundercats can be the funniest thing in the world if you allow it to be..
