Did they ever say why the thundercats dont have symbols on the show?
i never did hear
when the crew was asked all they ever said was they don’t have them for both technical and story reasons. it was a bit vague. i assume they’ll get the symbols later and they just couldn’t give a straight answer without giving spoilers.
It would probably be a bit of a pain in the butt to draw constantly at different angles and in different sizes. Which is what I think they mean by technical reasons.
if they were able to to it 25 years ago i’m sure they could do it now with better technology. i mean mumm-a still has his symbol.
Maybe they’ll appear when the time is right. I’m sure they are not being lazy with the symbols.
It sounds like it’s tied in with the Stones of Power.
i was assuming it was a representation that they are not a fully bonded team yet.
This i was also thinking. The team is not in sync yet, they are not a true team yet either. Feels like the symbols will come when they are all truly bonded. Maybe when they have united the races and are going to destroy Mumm-Ra?
i kinda hope it’ll be in the next season finale (not this week). could be a cool epic moment.
mumm-ra is winning. the whole team besides lion-o is down for the count. mumm-ra knocks lion-o down and in one final desperate move lion-o does the thunderX3 thundercats ho call and the cat comes out of the symbol (like it did once in the OS) runs to each of the thundercats, jumps through their red circles and their eyes light up as the symbols appear and they get back up to win.

Would be cool but… Really? No i hope not. They should not be able to change a scenario like that just by having stupid luck.
It’s like you watch a movie where the story is about the end of the world, everything gets destoryd then for some ODD reason they find a button, presses it and everything is back to normal.

I would love for the Crew to elaborate on why they don’t have their symbols yet. It doesn’t make sense that the 80s show can pull it off and they’d have trouble with it and story-wise the group is all together. You’d think they would want to wear the insignia since they are the last Thunderians.
I was about to say i did not mind. But then i rememberd. They had the logo all over the place and Lion-O even made one for his father. Maybe it would just be a pain to make it work with the animation.
Btw, how come the Sword has the symbol? The stone since the beginning has nothing to do with the Thundercats?
