Hi all.
I was wondering if the Thundercats intro sequence changed after Season 2 began, I thought with the introduction of three new Thundercats, surely there must have been a new opening sequence, or was the same one used throughout the 130 episode run.
I know that on some of the Video Collection releases that sometimes the opening sequence from Season 1 was cut short, mainly (I guess) due to Panthro using the nunchuks and they were afraid it would cause a negative image.

There were two versions of the opening.
The first belonged to the one-hour special. This opening, voiced by Bob McFadden, introduced the characters by name and “title.” This intro then went into what we are all familiar with as the series’ opening sequence, with the theme playing. The second opening is just the theme sequence and it wasn’t changed, even when the “new” Thundercats, Lynx-O, Ben-Gali and Pumyra, were brought in to boost ratings. A reason for not introducing the new TCs along with the other ones was never given by RB, or later WB.

When Thundercats aired on Cartoon Network it had a new opening. Sort of a clip and remix. I actually liked it but thats just me.
