It did when i was 4 along with M’ress from Star Trek TAS and Cleo from Heathcliff, i mean i had a fascination with catgirls for 25 years. I think they are such sexy creatures even in myths just like elf girls, fairies and mermaids.
Cheetara is the queen of all catgirls and up there with other cartoon catgirls like Felicia from Darkstalkers, M’ress, Cleo, Kitten Kaboodle from Talespin, Aishia Clan Clan from Outlaw Star, Cheetah on Justice League, Callie Briggs from Swat Kats, The Puma Sisters from Tank Police, Kit Mambo from Animlaympics, Mirage from Aladdin, Pink from Dragon-Pink, April O’Neil as a catwoman from that Ninja Turtles episode “Catwoman from Channel 6” (Remember that episode?) and even the Tyger-Tyger version of Catwoman from that Batman TAS episode where she became an ACTUAL catwoman (Remember that episode?).
I don’t recall ever thinking of Cheetara as being particularly sexy, but then I’ve always had a hard time attaching sexiness to cartoon characters. Having said that it wouldn’t surprise me at all to find out that some people’s interest in such catgirls started with Cheetara.
And I suppose, since I’m on the subject, that I do find some of the catgirls in CATS to be fairly attractive. But then I think they cross closer in to the “furry” category.
for some reason i never made the Cheetara = catgirl association. characters like Felecia or the mutated Catwoman struck a cord with me, but the original Thundercats were far too human-like for me to get any kind of furry affinity from them
Well Cheetara is still a cat-human hybrid humanoid with some cat-like features like the eyes, a small bit of fur on her body and that kind of thing. She does count as a catgirl.
So Ideal, you remember Darkstalkers? that was a fun game i use to play at the arcades when i was 12 when it first came out, i even had a crush on Felicia during my adolescence yet i still consider her cute. You remembered that Batman episode? that was a cool episode, at age 10 when i saw that episode on Fox i did thought Selina Kyle was quite wolf whistle as a thundercat as i always did had a thing for Selina Kyle aka Catwoman since i was 8 when i began reading the comics of Batman including having a crush on Julie Newmar when they showed reruns of the 60’s show and i adored Selina/Catwoman the years in many versions such as Michelle Pfeifer version, comic version, Blonde TAS version, Brunette TAS version. The Batman version, Julie Newmar version, Lee Meriwether version, Frank Miller version and yes even Tyger-Tyger version.

I’m one of those few oddball tcat fans out there that is a female and found Cheetara as a fascination. To be honest, I love the old Tcat comics and Lynxana was my favorite Tcat character. This will probably get deleted or censored or altered.
I was always attracted to the female Tcats since I was around 12. Actually to be honest it was much earlier but at the time I didn’t understand it. If I was to go waaaay back, I preferred girls since pre-K.
Right now I’m married with children but I still have my preference for women.
Cheetara was my first girl crush. As I got older, those feelings matured, I saw other women as not as a competition but as a possibility. There was a time I drew Cheetara/ Lynxana yuri art but I removed those pics. I should re-upload those pics. But don’t worry, I won’t post them here.
