Chris here…
Here’s the e-mail’s contents:
Hi guys, I noticed you didn’t participate in the following: http://www.thundercatslair.org/forums/showthread.php?t=4140
I’d love to hear from some of you - would you be able to get something to me if I extend the deadline until the end of the week?
I know some of you have particular interests i.e toys, cels - please feel free to reference these in anything you write.
Many thanks
Dave
I’ve already written up something and sent it in - be great if we could get several of the team from this site included in the book!
Take care…
What is he looking for exactly…personal experiences with toys during childhood. How your collecting started…Much of my childhood is sort of cloudy so i only remember bits and pieces of me playing with Thundercats.
Nothing bad happened during my childhood its just that i have a rwally hard time remembering things

Chris here…
Hey MannyC, this post from our forums contains all the brief he gave regarding what he’s looking for:
Hi everyone, next week I will begin writing the final chapter of my Thundercats book. This chapter explores the Thundercats franchise beyond the end of the series. I’m going to feature a short section about the many fans who kept the series alive with their enthusiasm for the show.
I’m therefore giving everyone the opportunity to submit a short paragraph or two about why they love the show. Please include whatever memories you have of the series, why it appealed to you and your opinion about why it surpassed many other shows of the era (and still lives on today). Feel free to include comparisons with shows like He-Man and comment on what’s lacking from the current output for children. Comments could include the writing, standard of animation, voice acting, toyline etc.
Please send your short articles via private message by no later than Sunday 18th July 2010. Please include your full name and location and the best sections will be used in the book. Obviously, because I have limited space, not everyone will be able to be included and I will select those which best suit the tone of the book. If I plan to publish the extract, I’ll email back - if you don’t hear back, please accept my apologies as I won’t be able to run with it. It won’t necessary be anything to do with the standard of writing, however I expect several people will make similar points etc and I’ll be looking for a wide range of views.
I look forward to reading your memories and opinions of the show and hope you’ll want to take part.
Thanks
Dave
Hope that helps!
Take care…
I’ve just sent mine over to him Hopefully it’s ok!
Same. I’ve only just come back onto the forums after a short vacation - so just trying to scan through everything…
