Dan Norton just told me on Facebook that its actually Kaynar, that Kayner was a spelling error on the Model Sheet
Still a good name, regardless of the spelling difference! 
Jackalman looks fantastic!
They’ve done a superb job of making the updated characters look recognizable to their original counterparts yet interesting redesigns all the same.

Jackalman looks amazing! Phew! The preview clip we saw yesterday had me a little worried about my 2nd favourite Mutant Now hopefully we get an equally cool Vultureman!

I’ve wondered who made that blog. Before the premiere they had a few images from it that no one else had.
Back when I found them googling, I had the impression from their site that they were some kind of official source, which is why I linked them up that way on my site’s links page.
I agree that it’s really not cool of them to copy/paste stuff from other sites and go representing it as their own, though…
Well I’m gonna play devil’s advocate a little and point out they didn’t really represent it as their own. They do give MTVGeek credit and a link to the actual article.
I actually miss the comedic value of the OS mutants.
Anyway…
This Jackalman looks fine except I don’t like the horn thing on his shoulder. It looks ridiculous to me.
This new Jackalman looks a lot older than the OS Jackalman I think.
Looking at this bigger, tougher looking Jackalman, I’m imagining his voice soundling like the dog gang leader in the movie “Up” after he got his voice box thing fixed.
I actually agree about the horn. I don’t like that either. But I like the rest of it enough that I’m trying to overlook it.
I love the new look for Jackalman. The name Kaynar almost sounds like a derivative of canine
He looks totally BA! Jackalman was always my favorite mutant, and to see his looking even cooler than before totally rocks my socks off!
I agree that he’s actually cute–I think it’s the level of confidence in the way he’s standing, and the fact that I love werewolves (and he’s got a little bit of that going on here)
He looks awesome. And Kaynar is an awesome name. Can’t wait to see him on he show..may very well become my favourite re-design.

I’m dying to see the Monkian redesign, he was always my fav baddie. I thought of him as the muscle of the mutants, so hopefully he’ll be as big as Panthro and Grune.
Yes, but copying the entire article is stealing, credited or not. And you certainly don’t do it without asking. But in any case, it’s pretty well-known etiquette to only take a portion of the article and link back for the entire thing.
Yes! Really like this rendition of ol´Jackelman. And I even like the color.. eh, name
