Boys and Girls, I proudly bring to you this incredibly impressive and detailed bust of Panthro from Thundercats. It is commissioned piece sculpted by the Zoko and stands at 10.2 inches from top of the head to the bottom of the base.

This is hopefully is going to be the first of the Thundercats Busts line of all the main characters. The next bust will be this:

Like Panthro, this and all the rest will have the same realistic style and texture.

It’s terrific but I have two nitpicks for you

It seems unfinished at the back… why doesn’t Panthro’s chest armour wrap around his whole back?

His weapon’s hand ends should be bigger, I like the idea of them being more claw like, it is darker and grittier and it works on this beautifully detailed bust. But they needed to be bigger so as to be more menacing.

I love it overall though… really nice job

The back straps were delibreately made like that to show the level of detail and texcture of the anatomy and skin. From the from, everything is there, as it should be. But the back is to show the real quality level of the sculpt. Who displays a bust facing backwards anyways? :wink:

Very, very cool. I think the nunchucks look fine as they are, but I’m with Grizzlor re: the chest armor not wrapping around to the back and attaching at the belt. Overall, great though!

This is exactly how I imagine a ThunderCats Classics line to look like, similar to MOTUC. ___

@Bengali: This is way better than any figure line design I’ve ever seen, I wouldn’t even compare it to MOTUC.

I just wish artists like this one worked for figure companies… this and the recent Lion-O custom statue are far better than any commercial versions.

I assume that this happens because they are made from loyal ThunderCats fans with passion and love for the franchise instead of people who are generally into all shorts of nerdy stuff and work for big companies.

Imagine what could happen if an organized ThunderCats fanbase created an animation studio funded by a company like WB…

I reckon all toy company products are all about the $$$$$, they just want to make stuff the quickest and cheapest way possible. Customizers have the luxury of taking there time and getting things right.
