In December last year I contacted the guy at WB who e-mailed Purrsia to give her the heads up about the ThunderCats flashgames that those guys put up on the WBkids site.
I asked him a bunch of questions about what was up on the T-Cats property at WB. I followed up again this week and he got back to me. Nothing specific but promises about new news down the pipe, and an invitation to check back in again later. It’s small but it’s a start!
Hi Mark,
We really appreciate your interest. There will be more information coming down the pipes regarding the Thundercats in the near future. Please touch base in a few months.
Have a great weekend!
Thanks Chris, small and steady wins the race. By the way we’ve never really talked much about how we’ll field our official correspondence with WB and others. I kinda got started with Hard Hero and have been reaching out to others ever since.
Maybe we should make sure everyone is cool with me continuing to do this, or we could split the market a bit if others are interested to communicate with certain people on the professional side of things.
I’m feeling like we should get a meeting going if you guys are up for that, I know they’re hard to schedule but I feel like we need to come together in the next short while to regroup and talk about our plans.
Well, I can say that for myself I’m quite happy for you to continue to do it, as it invariably yields excellent results! The way we’ve always done it is kind-of on an ad hoc basis, for example when it was Warner Bros UK with the ThunderCats DVDs, Neil was the man in touch with them, I’ve been the guy in touch with some of the folks who worked on the ThunderCats comic series, and Nick the guy who’s been in touch with the show’s cast and creative team to interview them.
However, I definitely think a team meeting is a great idea, even if we have to schedule it a good 4 - 6 weeks in advance so that we can find a time that everyone is available. I’d like to see us forming some concrete plans regarding moving the site forward, both generally and with a particular eye to the site redesign.
