Okay, so I started the ThunderForce thread and FaceBook page and it’s going pretty well! Reactions are good, likes are going strong and I even got forum member WilyCub onboard for some awesome concept art!! Now, because I’m treating this hypothetical toyline as a real possibility (yeah, well sue me!) I started thing about the bio’s each figure would come with. I really would like to connect all three universes in one extensive narrative. So my question to all of you is: HOW?
All three shows share a lot of concepts, but one of the major troubles is that all three take place on Earth, so how we’ll piece that together I have no idea Some ideas I DO have:
SilverHawks have a prison planet, just like the one from ThunderCats,
As director and principal guardian of the Great Oceanic Plug, Dr. DomeTone (ThunderCats) could easily be a member of the TigerSharks, Intergalactic Underwater Salvage,
Maybe Captain Cracker (ThunderCats) could be a former member of Captain Bizzarly’s (TigerSharks) crew,
… just to name some that have been floating around in my head.. I would really like to hear YOUR idea’s and how YOU would connect the ThunderForce Universe!!
I havent had a chance think about it in depth, but when considering the Thundercats series I believe that the following could be woven into both storylines with the Tigersharks.
Species such as the Sea-Quines, Vampire Mermaids would seem to fit into Tigersharks along with characters such as the Black Widow Shark, Astral Moat Monster and the Living Ooze. As you already mentioned the whole storyline with Dr. Dometone, Scrape, Sampson and Hercules works well. Also I think that Frog Man could really be a great link between the shows.
I would merge the universes of “ThunderCats,” “SilverHawks,” and “TigerSharks” into one so that they’ll have a chance to connect. I’d have Commander Stargazer and the 'Hawks be a part of the Interplanetary Control Force, for instance, and have the TigerSharks be Third Earth natives with Water-O being a Third Earth island instead of a faraway planet.
Their first adventure should be to track a red-and-white spaceship (the Feliner) that appears to be tracking a black spaceship (the Ratstar) across the universe. The SilverHawks are ordered by Commander Stargazer to apprehend both ships and bring their passengers in for interrogation in a classic case of judging a book by its cover. But things get more complicated when Mon*Star and his crew, as well as Mumm-Ra (who appears courtesy of his cauldron’s warp gate), enter the picture and take advantage of the situation. I know it’s not much of an adventure, but it’s all I got.
