looks neat, wish i knew how to make stuff like that or would someday soon try out and stop being lazy. i never understood buying custom figures though. i would think that since it was made by someone just like me, for the most part, i would be able to make it or make it better to my liking and enjoy knowing i made it rather than buying them. i’ve seen things like custom transformers that a simply painted and maybe some additional details etc go for huge bucks on ebay. i really dont get that but whatever.
People purchase art and rare comic books and comic book art. Collectors frequently want a certain character that a cmpany refuses to make for reason of another. For instance, a Thundercat collector might want Luna as she was never produced. In fact, multiple fns may want her. That leads to a bidding war, depending on the collectors. The goal of course is to complete your collection.
If you look at my website, 4livingcreatures creations, you’’ see a small sample of ho different a paint job can make a figure look a bit bland.
A well painted figure is a 3-D work of art. And once you stat sculpting, you gotta think that not everybod can paint to an above average detail level.
