Here are some doubts I’ve been keeping in mind for a while.
In “Exodus”, the TCs were surprised to see the Sword of Omens, they even said they considered it to be a myth or something. My question then is: Didn’t Claudus wield the SoO? What weapon he used then?
Also, the TCs kept saying all over again that they were in charge of “young Lion-O”, so the Noble TCs didn’t take care of Claudus too? Who were Claudus’ TCs? What happened to them? Didn’t Pantrho, Tygra, Cheetara and the kittens were tehre then?
I think Jaga and Grune might be the answer, but just them? Did the Lord of the TCs was only under the TCs’ wings while they were Lords-to-be? I mean, had they remained in Thundera, would the TCs hae fulfilled their destinies once Lion-O were anointed as Lord?
Finally, I can understand Pantrho, Tygra and Cheetara being TCs, but the kittens? They were barely older than Lion-O. How did they get such an honor? They didn’t seem matutre enough themselves, neither prepared to tajke care of the Lord (I know they were supposed to grow up as Lion-O did and they didn’t because of the suspendsion capsule thing, but still).
You’re absolutely right about Claudus - in “Return To Thundera”, one of the guards recognises the Sword of Omens in Lion-O’s hand, and says he’s seen Claudus using it. This does contradict that bit in “Exodus” (I guess Tygra’s line about believing the Eye to be a myth was a wise edit then!).
Yes, as Lord he did. But remember, as Exodus was the pilot episode, Claudus’ character wasnt even conceived (written!:p) yet.
The nobles look after Lion-O because, in Exodus, he’s just a child and they are all he’s got. Later, in Return to ThunDera, we learn that Claudus was supposed to be aboard the ship but stayed behind to guide the Flagship. So, if fate and the mutants hadnt interviened, Claudus and Jaga would have been with them to train Lion-O. Or something like that. :rolleyes:

Mmm… not convinced lol. I guess they should have fulfillñed a rraining as TCs themselves, and they didn’t seem “prepared”. Maybe their training (if there was any) was also cut due to the explosion? Weren’t tehre otehr wildcats that fit better? lol
Interesting issues you’ve raised, Tygra_Rules. And it was not just Claudus but Jaga too who had used the SoO many times pre-Exodus. You would think that in all this time at least some of the TCs would have seen it!
Also you raised the issue of how the ThunderKittens have the honor of being TCs. Actually I wonder what makes even Panthro, Tygra and Cheetara worthy of that honor? On what grounds are they considered nobles? pre-Exodus, they didn’t have any weapons or clothes, which is probably how they lived on Thundera.
So Tygra wouldn’t have had the ability to turn invisible nor would the Kittens have their bags of tricks. Cheetara would have only had her speed (but Pumyra was pretty fast too and she wasn’t a TC) and Panthro would have been a good mechanic (Bengali was a pretty decent blacksmith as well but not a TC).
Funnily enough, they did not even have the TC insignias on them. Only Jaga and Grune had them while on Thundera. Seems to me that all these “nobles” did was walk around naked and (probably) boss the other Thunderians! LOL!
I always thought Panthro, Tygra and Cheetara went throught some kind of trining to become TCs (kind of Jedi training lol). Cheetara said in “Telepathy Beam” that she was the best of her clan; Panthro referred to Tygra’s clan in the trial of mind power, so I guess the best of each clan became a TC (that’s why I suppose they went throught some kind of trial or comeptence agaisnt others of their kind), but always wondered about the kittens. Also, why 2 of them?
Interesting, yopu made me notice they had no insignia on Exodus. What distinguished them as noble TCs then? Bengali, Pumyra and Lynxo didn’t have one before being anointed, so that means only the TCs got one, but why didn’t they have one in Thudnera? Interesting too that Jaga and Grune did have one.
Maybe the TCs become such when their protegee becomes Lord? I mean, maybe Jaga and Claudus (among others) were Claudus’ TCs, and the ones we know were Lion-O’s (weird thing, in “Chain of Loyalty”, the drawing in the book showed Panthro, Tygra, Cheetara and the kittens, as if they had been TCs for centuries lol).
BTW, rememebr Tygra would have had his invisibuility anyway. It has been showed that it was a trait of him, not of the whip.
Who were Wilykit and Kat’s parents? It occurred to me while watching the series recently that maybe the Thunderkittens’ mom or dad was an adult “noble”/Thundercat on par with Tygra/Cheetara/Panthro, but he or she died before they all got to the ship. So the li’l Wilys, as the last of their illustrious line, got the “Thundercat” title as kind of an honorary thing, i.e., in honor of their mom or dad. (So it probably was breaking the “rules” of their society to make both of them Thundercats, but they probably figured, WTF, new planet, we can make some new rules if we want.)
This might be. It’d also give an explanation to why the kittens were the only siblings to become TCs both of them. I mean, I’m pretty sure Pantrho, Tygra and Cheetara also had brothers and sisters who didn’t become TCs, right?
So if Cheetara and Tygra come from the “House of Cheetara” and “House of Tygra,” respectively, are those their last names? If so, what are their first names?
And what are the Thunderkittens’ house? The “House of Wily”?
I didn’t realize that. I still havent’ seen that entire series. But from the episodes I watched, I did get the impression that the creators were setting out to answer a lot of the questions that the original series raised. (e.g., if all Monkians are Monkians and all Jackalmans are Jackalmen, then what are the proper names of the single Monkian and Jackalman that we all knew and loved?)
