Could it actually be a protoype or just an early knockoff? The mold looks identical to the yet to be released figure!

I’d say a knock off considering the seller has sold 2 already.

Where did they find the molds? It looks pretty perfect!
These would be at least from the factory mold, the “Proto” market from china is one to watch as there are some that say often they are made for collectors. Since Bandai is a little tougher then say Hasbro with the Star Wars figures hitting eBay this one could just be a test shot. But the factory mold was used, not a copy or custom. If that was the case it should be smaller and less detailed then the original during that process.
Besides, I bought the first one for fun:) and will give you an opinion when it arrives.
Correct, I’m a design student and I’ve done some molding last year. His head would definitely wouldn’t look so well detailed if it was a copy mold.
That is an awesome career path, wish I could have done that but a little too late now

That looks like two Ben 10 Bandai prototypes I own…so I assume it’s legit.
They really thought it necessary to have drawn instructions on how to take a hand off and put another on? And how to put a sword in a hand? lol

It kinda bothers me that the whites of Lion-O’s eyes seems to blend in with the rest of his face. Might have to break out some paint or a thin marker or something to outline them. lol
I mean that classic Tygra’s eyes are outlined. Why not the New Lion-O? They’re outlined on the Bandai official site…
The one on the Bandai website is the deluxe edition.
Sorry for the double post, but I ordered and received (already!) one of them… it’s amazingly detailed, articulated, etc. Hands down, no knockoff quality.
I’ll probably make a video review soon…
