In “Ghost Warrior” she claims her psychic ability is “a curse”. In the story Slithor and I are working on, this comes from the fact that one of her grandmothers is an Ocelot.

I like that theory.
Also, remember she was the only grown-up female TC at that time, and women usually develop a “sixth sense” better than men. I always wondered if Wilykit was supposed to develop it as well, but then I learnt it was something unique to Cheetara and maybe her clan (for something she said in Telepathy Beam, and because Pumyra didn’t have it).
Also, somewhere I read that Tygra didn’t like to use his mental power because he didn’t like to screw with other people’s minds, and in that sense he considered his power a curse (or a huge responsability) as well.
Maybe that’s why Cheetara and Tygra seemed to be so close, because they got each other and could understand what the other could be feeling and going through by having sucj special powers. I always wished for the writers to do something with that, you know, Cheetara and Tygra feeling strange, kind of outcasts, because of those powers that imply huge responsability and also they had to use them very well because the powers “drained” them, sharing their feelings about it, or having to use those (together), after refusing to do so, to save the day.
Lol just spit it out…u (like me) wanted to see Cheetara and Tygra get it together and have lil cubs 
Of course I did… no secret there. But the idea of them combining their strange, draining powers to save the day was also there 
If Tygra & Cheetara had cubs, they would likely look like large Ocelots because they would have stripes and spots.
And they would have both a sixth sense and mental powers… cool 
I would love to see a picture of what they would look like. 
Any name suggestions?
