Cereal Geek: New 80's animation magazine!

Thought I’d start a thread for the new magazine being produced by my good friend, Mr James Eatock

I have received my copy of the magazine last week and I have to say it’s excellently put together and if your a fan of many of the 80’s best cartoon series it’s a must have. Let’s just say it took me a while to get through all the magazine as it’s packed with so much stuff.

The first issue is quite Transformers G1 heavy, so if your into that you will be in heaven literally!

It also includes a few Thundercats items as well. You can order it from www.cerealgeek.com

and I assure you it’s definately worth a look!

If anyone here has got the magazine, feel free to share your thoughts on it here (good and bad)

Is this a British magazine?:bengali:

Yes, it’s a magazine being put together by fans of 80’s cartoons/animation. It’s not available in shops (only via the Cereal Geek website) but it’s professionally put together just like a magazine you would buy from a newsagents.

The magazine has zero ads, contains some beautiful artwork and interesting articles about our favourite cartoons.

Wonderful! Since this magazine is available only at Cereal Geek’s website, is it a virtual publication? And do I register at that site to receive it on-line? Is that how they have it set up?:bengali:

No, it’s an actual glossy magazine that you look through physically by hand. If you buy a copy it will be shipped to you via snail mail

i got my 1st issue about a month ago. very nice. i recognized a lot of the artists that contributed into the mag. thinking about submitting some artwork to them myself.

You should do, your artwork is amazing!

Take care…

Apologies for the double-post, just wanted to give you guys and girls a heads-up that cereal:geek #2 is now available - and, I believe I’m correct in saying that it features production artwork from ThunderCats amongst its content, donated to the magazine by our very own Animation Art guru, Mark a.k.a. Grizzlor!

Check out the front page of this site for cover image and more info: www.thundercatslair.org !

Hey gang, my copy of cereal:geek arrived today. Very happy to say that James “Bustatoons” Eatock did a tremendous job on his ThunderCats content. There is a 30 frame breakdown of the ThunderCats intro, a writeup about Snarf, a stats card on Cheetara, a cool original painting of Lion-O… and best of all, a two page spread of original animation art provided by yours truly!

James did a great job on the two page spread and duly noted that the art was donated by the site courtesy of myself.

I think you guys will like it. I know I did.

going to check out the website

Anyone going to Thundercon? The exclusive Cereal:Geek issue has some Lion-O goodness inside that I worked on
