I contacted reprolabels to see if they had plans to do a thundercats lair sticker set.
They stated that this may be possible but they would need a refrence set.
Does anyone have a copy(real or duplicate) of the thundercats cats lair stickers that could be scanned and sent to reprolabels?
this would help out your fllow collectors who have those not so mint lairs

i dont know how I feel about this. Just like with the repo weapons with Star Wars. The repo stickers will be passed off as original by dishonest sellers. Which then means a price increase in things cause people think they are getting the original.
If they were used for fillins in personal collections thats fine, and even if things were to be sold the sellers stated that they were repos, then I wouldnt mind, but since this wouldnt always be the case I vote no on this.
Repro stickers is actually an idea that we were considering howver the benefits of making repro sticker do not outweigh the fact that there will be dishonest sellers trying to pass them off as originals. We were hesitant to even host actual instructions on the website but after much editing and taking the proper precautions we decided to host them. I would be happy to offer something for collectors like that but its too much of a risk
I have to agree with my colleagues on this one. Sadly for every honest collector who wants them for personal use there will be someone who takes advantage and tries to use them for personal gain.
With the Cats Lair being so rare, scammers would jump on these stickers repros and have a field day with them 
I can dig it. I certainly understand the potential for unfair practices

I would say its up to you to check over and study the playset or vehicle that has decals.
if your buying from e bay make sure you ask questions and use a fool proof way of paying, like pay pal so if its fake, bootleg or covered in repro stickers you can get your money back..

I personally think Repro Decals are a GREAT idea! I have a Cat’s Lair that is in good condition, but has really worn stickers. I would rather pay for Repro stickers and have a great display piece, rather than spend another $200.00 to $400.00 for a Mint Cat’s Lair. To me that would just be stupid.
Even if there were a Mint Cat’s Lair with Repro stickers on it, would it really bother anyone? I mean, if you couldn’t tell the difference, why would it really matter? We are talking about decals, not repro figures and weapons.
You might have the best of intentions but not everyone does I’m afraid. You will be surprised at how collectible unused stickers and mint intruction sheets are. We prefer not to be a part of any reproducing of the original materials that came with the toys as we feel that the collectibility will suffer. As soon as they get circulated enough they are sure to appear on Ebay.
However if anyone does want to share scans of their sticker sheets, please can you do it via pm 
I dont have my Cats lair yet(I have one on the way) But if it has bad stickers I would like some news ones so my display would look better.
The problem really doesnt lie if they are repro figures or parts of a playset. The problem lies within legality. Think of it this way what would happen if all of a sudden a massive amount of almost unique counterfeit money were released to the general public. We are talking here about unfair practices. Would you want to pay top dollar for something that is fake? Would you want to pay twice the amount for a Cat’s Lair that has fake stikers? I’m sure if you can find someone to make them then that is something the individual takes on but us as a website cannot produce something like that at least not now which could benefit people with unfair practices in their mind. It’s too risky to do IMO but then again if someone would want to do it they can do it regardless if we choose to do it or not. Its a great idea dont get me wrong but it’s something that is not top priority for us at this time. We have tons of content to put out for everyone and we much rather concentrate our time giving the community the best information before we can take on a project of this magnitude.

I wouldn’t want to pay for full price for something that is fake, but we are talking about restoring something that is NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE to get original stickers for. It’s hard enough finding the Cat’s Lair Loose and in good condition, let alone Loose Mint AND Complete.
I don’t think of it that way. It would be like buying an original Model-T car. Yeah they exist, but it is nearly impossible to find it in perfect condition with all original parts. Lets say you do find your Model-T car, but you need parts to make it look like it just rolled off the assembly line. Only problem is, they have not made original parts in decades…but you find reproduction parts that make it look just as good. Anyone would tell you, to get the reproduction parts. They don’t make the original sticker sheets for the Cat’s Lair. Nearly impossible to find, unless you buy a MIB sealed one. For those who have the cash, good for you. But for most collectors like me, we need an affordable alternative. If it looks good, costs less and provides for a great display piece, I say THUNDERCATS HOOOOOOOOO!!!
This is certainly a tricky situation, and until now I have always felt that repro stickers are a bad idea for the previously mentioned reasons. However The Amazing Muto does have a point. Reproduction parts are available for a multitude of other products, and in most cases these repro products help the respective scenes to flourish and grow.
Imagine if there were no reproduction spares for any of the cars made in the 60’s and 70’s. Those beautiful old cars would only be accessible to a select few, and the classic car community as a whole would be almost non existent. Having repro products has enabled that industry to flourish and the community of people who are involved is a lot healthier / better because of it. In actual fact I would go so far as to presume that it has even increased the value of the true “original” cars and parts as well.
Like I said before, I have always thought of repro products for thundercats as a bad thing. But if producing repro stickers, cards, bubbles, etc etc for T cats allowed more people to get involved and persue collecting as a hobby (instead of throwing their incomplete / damaged toys away as worthless) we would all be better for it.
Thats my opinion anyway, and I would certainly like to get some fresh stickers to replace the tatty and missing ones on my vehicles (origional or otherwise) :oops:

Repro Stickers In The Works
I’m working on repro stickers for the Cat’s Lair now and should have them ready in a week or two. They will be printed on glossy label stock and computer die-cut so all you’ll have to do is peel and apply.
I just want to make it clear and remind everyone that if the repro pieces are shared it must be done via pm only. Please do not post any links to downloadable sticker or instructions sheets on the forum (this includes in signatures as well)
