I am working on a custom Castle Plun-dar and was wondering what color is it? during the intro of the cartoon it looks green. In the show it looks like a mustard color. Even the Thundercats miniatures pack show the castle as a light mustard green. Not 100% sure what color to settle on. Im leening toward mustard. Any input would help.
Castle Plun-Darr is definitely green.
It’s strange, because on the one hand it often looks green in wide shots, but closeups of windows or exterior walls are often just a plain brown or brownish-grey. Interior shots almost always have brown or russet walls, though the reddish tint might be coming from torches.
When it comes down to it, the castle is made of stone, so if it’s green, it’s green because there’s something mossy or slimy growing on it. I don’t know how you’re painting your custom, but maybe start with the whole thing in brownish-grey and then apply a dark green overtop in places? I would not go in a mustardy direction.
