Better Hunter Lynxana or Safari Joe

Lynxana was such a cool creation by the writers at marvel that did the first ever Thundercats comic book series (under Marvel’s “Star comics” lable). I hope any new animated T-Cats series or movie includes her. Even if they have to get the copyrights to her from Marvel etc!

As she not only captured the Thundercats (barring Lion-O) but is also one of them as both a Thunderian herself and an Ex-ThunderCat. She isn’t a coward but an extremely bitter Thunderian with a deep seated grudge, making her better fleshed out and complexed overall!

I got some questions about Lynxana( from the comies #4) and Safari Joe.

Love the way Lynxana capture the kids with that sticky net. The writers should of made tygra and cheetara together while lynxana capture them with the sticky net like in Spaceship Beneath the Sands. First Question is what was in them Mushrooms that Lynxana placed on the thundertank and when Panthro checks it out he comes back to see tygra out like a light. Did the mushrooms knock tygra out while panthro was gone or i was thinking Lynxana used her stun bolts to knock him out.

Did you think Lynxana could of beat tygra,panthro and cheetara staright up?

Another question is When she capture’s Cheetara. Lynxana must have known her weakness. I mean Lynxana must have known cheetara was super fast because shes behind a rock and said’s help me please. Cheetara runs fast to help her but cheetara runs into sand with its slick as glass. Only to hit her head and is out cold.

Did Lynxana know the thundercats weaknesses? Like Safari Joe did. Panthro fears bats, tygra can’t swin and Cheetara can maintain top speed only short distances. She is vulnerable to fire, lightning, and energy bolts

Lynxana and safari joe both bountry hunters that capture the kids, tygra, cheetara, and panthro.

Who looked better in beating the thundercats Lynxana or Safari Joe

Lynxana never had to fight them. She placed Mushrooms to somehow knock tygra and panthro out. She was one step ahead in beating cheetara and she placed a sticky net to capture the kids.

Now for Safari Joe, he new each thundercats weeknesses, Something i don’t know if Lynxana new?

Another question is who capture the thundercats better and why.

I’d have liked to see Lynxana confronting the TCs straight up. Can’t say what would have happened (of coutrse she’d have captured them by the end, for Lion-O to be the hero).

I like Safari Joe but, it would be pretty close between the to of them but I am going to have to say Lynxana.

Sick of Lion-O Saving the day. I was hoping for Lynxana to fight them straight up.

Yea I’m sick of Lion-O saving the day and getting the inside scoop from Jaga. Lynxana should of confronting the thundercats Not the kittens. I do think Cheetara would of been no match for Lynxana. Now Tygra and Panthro don’t know. I mean if she trap them in that force field like she did lion-o only for the sword of omens to break free. Can’t see Tygra and Panthro breaking free with his Bolo-whip and nunchucks. Straight up I mean Panthro may be just to strong for her and Tygra with his mind powers and turning Invisble, Lynxana would be beat. Anybody know what was in them mushrooms that knock Panthro and Tygra out.

I do wonder if Pumyra in the remake should have been Lynxana instead.

That’s a great idea. :smiley: Although I don’t know if they could use her legally. I am not sure if WB own the right to her since she was created by Star/Marvel comics.

I think it would have been a nice touch, but I also think their idea was to somehow revindecate Pumyra with fans (kind of what they did with Tygra). But, if they presumably killed Lynx-O and had apparently no plans or complelte different plans for Bengali (being Tygra and Cheetara’s cub does not fit the original), Pumyra could have been changed as well. Maybe giving her Lynxana’s characteristics (bountyhunter, weapons) but keepeing Pumyra’s name and appearence could have worked.

It’s curious really. Safari Joe was, barring his brief appearance in “Fond Memories”, a one-time guest character - but was so memorable, partly because of his catchphrase. You only had to see his episode once, and you remembered “Safari Joe does it again!” alongside all the show’s regular catchphrases.

Lynxana, on the other hand, was a much more rounded character. It’s a shame she only appeared in the comic.

Lynxana is a very cool character! I am not sure I would want her replacing Pumyra in the NS but I would have been thrilled with her addition in some way.

All I meant was, the nature of the Pumyra character in the 2011 series was reminiscent of Lynxana from the comics.

I grew up seeing the picture of Safari Joe on the back of the toy cards and product catalogues. I only seen him one on TV in the Fond Memories episode but still got the figure of him about a year after that in '92.

You guys think Tygra could defeat Lynxana in a One on one battle. Straight up. If Tygra turns Invisble I don’t see Lynxana having any chance than. But if Lynxana fights him the way she Fort Lion-0 than maybe she’s wins. What you guys think.
