Does anyone know why 3 out of every 4 Bengali MOC do not have there name sticker. I have not been able to figure this out they are so hard to find moc then its even harder to find them with the name tag.

I dont think theyre too hard to find, truthfully IMO Bengalis MOC are overrated as far as rarity goes…it is fact that an 8 back Tygra and an 8 back Cheetara are much more rarer than a Bengali any day of the week. As far as the sticker name goes who knows…that’s been one of my questions for quite a while. Maybe LJN was trying to save a few bucks by not doing any name sticker.
The 8 backs are rare only because they were first releases. Most were opened because they were out for a good amount of time before the last series was released. It is just like Star Wars 12 backs, first series pre-rub sign G1 Transformers, etc… All of the 8 backs are much harder then the regular later versions. Add the fact that Tygra & Cheetara shipped in lower quantities and I would consider them extremely rare.
Probably because the few remaining carded Bengali’s were produced at the end of the lines run. The most common MOC Bengali you see on Ebay, is on the UK card and these would have definately been released at the very end of the toy line. By this time I guessing that they simply ran out of name stickers and no more funds were allocated for a new batch of stickers as the toy line was winding down.
Mostly when you do come across a Bengali with name sticker it’s usually always an American card. Actually I doubt you would find a Bengali on a UK card with name sticker.
So I’m guessing the “3 out of 4 Bengali’s” that pop up are UK cards, while the 1 out of 4 is a US card.
I have a Ben Gali on US 14-back card w/o name sticker. I always assumed that the stickers peeled away with time, but I also always wondered why this would happend only to the Ben Gali MOC’s and not the others. I think all the Lynx-O and Pumyra’s I’ve seen had their stickers.

I was wondering this myself..I rarely see a Ben-Gali with the sticker on it..So if doesn’t have the sticker it’s likely a Uk card..? Some of these non-sticker version seem to be a US card..There’s a graded AFA 85 14-Back Bengali currently on ebay, and seller (scards) claims it’s a US card..?
Any thoughts..?
My thought was that they stopped using the Bengali stickers towards the end of the line as Thundercats was being phased out. However, I’ve seen so many MOC Lion-O’s without the name sticker as well so unless they kept him in rotation, given he’s the main character, I really don’t know.
Around 1998, a chunk of leftover US stock was shipped over to the UK and sold in £Stretcher stores for just £1.99 each figure! (around US$3.50!)

They did! He was released with each series from 1985 right up to the final production of figures in 1989.
and once again, the £Stretcher sold Lion-O always come without a name sticker.
