I’m curious to see which filler episode the fans deem the best. So look at your contenders above and give it some thought. Personally I consider filler being an episode you can miss and not be lost tuning in the next episode or an episode that has no impact whatsoever on the overall story arc. Who knows, maybe someone that works on the show will see it and future filler will fall in line with what we’ve chosen to be the best.
My personal pick is the episode “Berbils”. Now, if the Berbils show up in a future episode this episode becomes relevant to the overall story arc and ceases to be filler. Until then, though, this episode could easily be missed and you wouldn’t miss anything. “Berbils” introduced us to the adorable Berbils and was a Panthro-centric episode. Looking back pairing the cute creatures with Panthro was a really good idea. The Snowmeow cameo and good action made “Berbils” really enjoyable for me.

Ramlak Rising - If you were to miss this episode you wouldn’t know how the Kittens joined the group.
Song of the Petalars - If you were to miss this one you wouldn’t see Panthro join the group.
Sight Beyond Sight - The elephants were introduced in this episode and appeared in an additional 2 episodes in the season, so it’s important to see their introduction.
I voted for Duelist and the Drifter. I felt the animation was TOP NOTCH in that episode, as was the story and voice acting. It was just as fun watching and hearing about the drifter’s past as it was to watch Lion-o in the episode and Lion-o really grew and learned from the end of that episode. The forest of magi oar was a close one, it’s really a toss up for me between those two.
I voted Magi Oar as the best, but I dont feel that it was a filler so maybe I should have chosen other.
We got a nice slice of character development
-Further development of the bound between the brothers.
-Glimpse into Tygra’s feelings for Cheetara
-The official beginning of a love triangle
-The sword cannot work against a force of good.
-SBS
I considered all of that, but ultimately the episode could be missed and you wouldn’t lose much. There is technically character development in every episode, but unless it impacts the overall story arc I consider it to be filler. The love triangle was handled so awkwardly that you didn’t really need to see where it “started” for it to work.
The thing that made me consider “The Forest of Magi Oar” filler was really because at the end of “Sight Beyond Sight” Lion-O sees the stone in the hut through the sword. He opens the hut and there is nothing there so the elephant suggests he goes to the forest so the swords power could be amplified. What did Lion-O see that the end of the episode? The same exact vision of the stone in the hut. Nothing changed yet he says “Let’s go get that stone!” like the vision actually showed him something different. It was really just a pointless detour.
Forest of the magi oar…? Filler…? Not really he was sent there to.. You know. Plus he learned something very valuable about the SOO which was he can’t use it against good people. I would not really consider it filler, rather with those could be.
I think in “The Forest of Magi Oar” Lion- learned to see the big picture (which was something thy kept saying all troughtout the series), and that without it (that “special” vision of things) he wouldn’t have been able to get SBS.
I agree w/ chique and tygra rules. I dont consider it a filler. That’s where he learned and understood SBS. I voted for the drifter, I liked the story and the drfiter character.
Fair enough, I guess the way it was presented just lead me to consider it unnecessary. You say he learned about Sight Beyond Sight, but he literally saw the same exact vision that he did before entering the forest. If you were to miss “The Forest of Magi Oar” and watch “Into the Astral Plane” Lion-O mentions that the stone is in the Astral Plane so you would think he learned this in previous episode, but he didn’t. The Astral Plane wasn’t mentioned in the episode and the vision he had from the sword was something he had already seen.
But he learned how to “read” that vision in a new way, IMO.
Of course, I guess without the ep, and jumping just into the next one “Astral Plane”, one could simply think he mastered SBS after “Journey to the Tower of Omens”. So it might be a filler after all…

So at the end of the episode we know the same thing we did at the end of “Sight Beyond Sight” - the stone is in the hut. Somewhere between “The Forest of Magi Oar” and “Into the Astral Plane” Lion-O decided the stone was in the Astral Plane which should have been covered in the previous episode but it wasn’t. It just makes me feel like the episode was a waste.
I agree, he successfully used Sight Beyond Sight in “Journey to the Tower of Omens” so to say he learned it in “The Forest of Magi Oar” isn’t accurate.
That’s what I didn’t understand, he used sight beyond sight to find that switch to find the tower of omens. Why was it so difficult for him in later episodes.
Yeah, he seems to get lucky a lot when it comes to sbs. In the first episode when he first held the sword, he accidently used it to see a vision of Mumm-ra.
I can understand Lion-O developing SBS over time, but to say “Forest of Magi Oar” had any impact on his skill is inaccurate. He saw the same thing at the end of that episode that he did in the previous.
I voted for The Forest of Magi Oar even though, as others have mentioned, I wouldn’t really consider it filler sense it was crucial to Lion-o learning more about SBS and figuring out where the crystal was. I guess I like this one the most because I thought the story was very solid and I was really fascianted with wood-forgers and their abilities. It reminded me of Read or Die. The Duelist and the Drifter was a close second though. The Berbils episode was just okay for me. I still liked it, but it’s probably one of my least favorite episodes so far.
How one is gonna think that when he had trouble locating the stone and the elephants told him to go to the forest se he could amplify his vision since he needed help and couldnt do it? I always looked at it as luck and not that he mastered it.
After what he learned in the forest he could focus more and and not only see the stone but where it was located it. I guess seeing through the astral plane is harder. After that I knew he had mastered SBS
