This isn’t of top priority of course, it’s just something I noticed and was curious about. It seems like some users have pretty big avatars, while other accounts are restricted to I think 80 x 80.
I get keeping file sizes small on those things, having a site and board myself, I’m just curious why there’s a range as it’s not something I noticed on many other boards (those settings are usually universal across the board in my experience). Do you have to reach some kind of user-level to get the perk of a larger avatar etc?
Good question! I guess it was based on usergroups. I think we changed the Team usergroup to have larger avatars, but never changed the Forum Member usergroup.
In any event, I made the change so that everyone (as far as usergroups go) can upload an avatar that is 150x150. If someone wants to make a sticky/announcement about it, that would be awesome!
Edit: Got the announcement posted, but unable to make a sticky thread in Board Announcements. I am guessing only Admins can post there, even though the announcement show up there.
The same goes for me. I can’t post a larger Avatar, i’ve tried for a 100 x100 image but it failed.

Manny, could you please change the setting or run over it once again because i’ve been trying since yesterday to upload a 100x100 image for my Avatar with no results. I still get this Note: The maximum size of your custom image is 80 by 80 pixels or 19.5 KB (whichever is smaller).
Maybe you should change the Kb from 19,5 to a bit larger
At least the 100x100 or 150x150 could apply only for the Thundercats lair team!!
oh I guess my avatar is 29.2 kb that I’m trying to use, so that could be the prob. However, when looking at my profile it does still say max dimensions are still 80x80 as well…
