Apart from Larry Kenney, the surviving voice actors tend to keep themselves to themselves a lot, I think they sometimes make occasional comic convention-type appearances but apart from that, very little.

Yeah, I think you pretty much have to meet them to get an autograph. I have an autographed poster from when I met him and several other of the VAs, including Larry Kenney as well, at a con in 04. The others were pretty into keeping their privacy intact. I thought I found a way to contact Peter and Lynn Lipton via email a few years ago, but neither responded to my email.
As far as voice actors, Larry is surely the most fan-friendly. Not to say the others were not nice when I met them, they just apparently would prefer not to interact as much as Larry does.

I’ve often wondered if Peter and Lynne are worried about 'Net stalkers/weirdos if their e-mail addresses got out into the public domain, etc.? We forget that these guys are all a lot older than most of us, and so perhaps they’ve heard some of the horror stories surrounding the Internet and prefer to leave well enough alone? Which begs the question as to why Larry is different - perhaps he thinks no one would have the courage to stalk or pester Lion-O?!

My take? It’s his personality. It’s more outgoing, imho, than the others and I think he enjoys the attention whereas yes, perhaps the others worry about the occassional weirdos etc and that offsets hearing from fans that just want to say hi and thank them for their work.
Reminds me of the difference between fans that get involved in fandom and those that prefer to keep at a distance and lurk.
Plus, Larry is still active in the business, so I’m sure from that standpoint, extra exposure doesn’t hurt his career any

Good points, Purrsia. And I agree with all of them. It once again confirms my original thought that the other ThunderCats castmembers let Larry be their unofficial/official spokesman for the show and for them. It only makes sense when you take everything into account.
