Below I have listed some TC toys that I need the assortment number for:
Capt. Cracker
Mongor
Safari Joe
Mummy Mumm-Ra
Blue Laser Sabers
Orange Laser Sabers
Mumm-Ra’s Tomb Fortress
Snarf Plush
I was also wondering about the so called “Series II Lion-O” with the new head design. I have a 22 back LJN/Rainbow Toys ‘new head’ Lion-O with asst 3501. Now, in the TC checklist that you can download from this site, which one is the ‘new head’ Lion-O? Or was he really released in the 3rd series? Or was it simply that the new head was released both in series 2 asst 3500 on 14 back and series 3 asst 3501 on 22 back?
Thanks for noting about the missing Luna Lasher. As far as what the list shows it only shows major variations among figures (old Tygra, Young Tygra, etc.) Im not quite sure about the “new head” Lion O but my best guess is that it is a series 2 Lion O and perhaps even a series 3 Lion O. 22 backs from what i have seen over my time collecting have only appeared as series 3
Capt. Cracker 3515
Mongor 3515
Safari Joe 3515
Mummy Mumm-Ra Unknown, we have not found any documentation for this yet
Blue Laser Sabers 3566
Orange Laser Sabers 3566
Released on both cards. Remember the UK/Europe was a year behind the toy line in the USA. By the time series II Lion-o came to be released in the UK, it would probably have been on 22-back cards. Also for the UK and Europe, existing figures were packed on what cards were left as well, especially those sold in £Stretcher stores. At the moment I don’t have the 14-back USA Lion-o so I can’t give you a definate answer on the asst number. However I’m about 80% sure it’s 3510.
I saw in the newly added Laser Sabers pages that the orange and blue sabers has asst number 3566 and the black has asst 3567. I only have the black and red (mutants) and they both say 3566 so is really the other way around or do all four have the same asst?
And does Mumm-Ra w battery and Lion-O w battery have the same asst 3527?
Also, does Thunderwings Lion-O and Luna Lasher Mumm-Ra have the same asst 3620?
I’m also wondering what the Feliner is doing in the Toy Checklist? It’s marked as prototype, but the other TC prototypes isn’t included.
Thnaks for noting those mistakes on the assortment numbers. The numbers that we put on there are actually accordingto the 1987 Dealer catalogs. Good guys were 3566 while bad guys were 3567. However I think what happened once they actually produced them they kept the 3566 for all Laser sabers. We will fix those assortment numbers to give the most accurate description. The reason the other prototypes are not included is for the simple reason that there has been no evidence of any other prototype other than the Feliner to have been produced. It is speculated that there are 4 Feliners out there in private collector hands. Thats the reason why it is on there. But it is an important point to note that the list is only for LJN produced and distributed. I’ll have to update the list to be more accurate, there are a couple of items i must add and take off. Once it is updated I will post a message
