As some of you may know I had a website hosted with Hostmonster myself, however a week ago my account expired, so I put my site on Godaddy’s free webspace you get with your domain purchase. I also now have all my email accounts (both exactly the same as the old site) with Godaddy.
While on Hostmonster, I would get tons of spam through the neil@ email, but since I moved the email to Godaddy I have not received a single spam message! 
I have checked the email is set up correct and it is, so I can only assume it has something to do with the Hostmonster service…
