Anyone watched the new Tron : Uprising?

I was one of the people that loved the movie . and this series (although done in CGI) animation turned out to be really awesome for me :slight_smile: what did you think about it?

If there’s one franchise/universe I love as much as Star Trek, Star Wars or even Thundercats, it’s TRON! The original movie is one of my all-time favorites, and I also really liked TRON: Legacy. Maybe it’s because I’ve always been into video games, but there’s something really cool about that franchise and its look that is unlike anything else in Science Fiction.

But yeah, I saw the sneak peek of the first episode on the Disney Channel last week, and I agree: It rocks!:smiley: I was really impressed by the voice cast, too. They had Bruce Boxleitner back of course as TRON/Rinzler, but they also had Elijah Wood, Lance Henriksen, Mandy Moore, Tricia Helfer and Paul Ruebens. And while they couldn’t get Jeff Bridges, Fred Tatasciore does a dead-on impression of him as CLU. The show even has sort-of a Thundercats connection too, as Emanuelle Chriqui (Cheetara) plays a major character in the show named Paige.

In fact, I’ve had this plot-bunny for a while now for a Thundercats/TRON crossover where Lion-O and the gang find The Grid server still functional after all these centuries and get digitized into it. It would be cool to see them racing lightcycles, or figure out what effect the Sword of Omens would have on The Grid, or just imagine how they would look in that world with the glowing neon-accented armor! I’m still working on it, but I’d be open to some further ideas on how to develop it.

Cool I didn’t know Cheetara’s voice actress was in this . reminds me of how psyched I was to ehar Panthro’s voice actor in Korra :smiley: And yeah thundercats in the tron universe could be something …and though I don’t think it will ever happen , luckily we have alot of fan artists out there

I’ve seen “Tron: Uprising.” It was overall a great series pilot.

I like the idea that one of the Stones could be hidden in the Grid. :cool:
