Back in the day I never noticed this, of course I was too young to even know what anime was. Now I can see alot of anime style in the Thundercats toons, just look at the intro.
Oh that just reminded me : there’s a scene w/ anime-looking Warrior Maidens (altho on most occasions - Warrior Maidens look like anime chicks already - but it some scense - it’s definitely strict ANIME.
I’m trying to remember which episode it’s in…
I think it’s def during the New ThunderCats arc…
the Treetop Kingdom gets attacked, and you just see a ton of Warrior Maidens standing and looking, and then probably running. Their faces look very anime-ish.
Oh yeah - definitely - there’s a lof of anime stuff in the opening.
Those pastel smoke clouds from Kat’s pellet ball bomb things remind of girly anime. The pink, lavender and blue smoke swirls in Tomb Town remind me of something from セーラームーン Sailormoon or 遊戯王Yuugiou (Yugioh)
Also - the scene where Lion-O jumps out of the way of the bandages or w/e in Mumm-Ra Lives Part 2 (i think…) he jumps very “anime-like” ~ as opposed to their normal looking jumps-out-of-the-way
Oh, and if anyone would like to know how to write the ThunderCats names in Japanese, I can post 'em. ^_[1] Yeh I’m probably the only one who cares about THAT… [/SIZE]
