With Cartoon Network having a few scheduling issues, are you concerned with the potential for T-Cats to have scheduling issues.
Example…Young Justice hasn’t aired a new episode since March 11th. Fans of Batman:Brave and the Bold seemed to have to wait 3-4 months for new episodes. Aqua Teen Hunger Force(nuff’ said there).Star Wars:The Clone Wars on occasion…
My concern is that I don’t want another “DBZ” syndrome, where they re-air all the already aired episodes until the new ones came out. Dragon Ball z was notorious for that.
It seems all the kid-oriented/animation cable networks in the US do the same thing. Dragonball Kai episodes are sporadically aired; if it wasn’t for my DVR recording the new episodes, I wouldn’t know when the new episodes are on.
I’ve always been concerned with Cartoon Network. I believe the reason why the MOTU 200X series had such poor ratings was due to the always changing schedule for the show. It would air on Fridays, then on Saturdays…then back on Fridays.
I just hope CN does not base the sole success of ThunderCats on the ratings of the series, but the excitement and popularity of the entire property. I highly doubt the latter though.
Young Justice hasn’t aired new episodes because it literally caught up with the production of the show, as soon as new episodes are ready they are being aired. You have to remember animation is a lengthy process. Of course its not always like that sometimes they just give the show a break or don’t want to run through their season quickly and want to make it last.
I totaly understand how lengthy animation production can be, however when you take that into consideration, it makes you wonder why not wait just a little bit so that you avoid those break or schedule production to coincide closer to the break where the seasons end. obviously this oversimplifies and overlooks many things but it seems CN has gotten worse as of late with this problem.
It’s going to happen wether we like it or not. Dragonball Z had better chances of it not happen to it due to it being a dub, not new animation produced. Here we have both being done from scratch. It always happens to animated shows, and always will. TCats will be no different. And I actually like it that way. Makes things more worthwhile when you wait for them.
And also we don’t want this show rushed. I’d rather they take their time to make a GOOD story, than something halfassed like the new Ben 10. =/
As to it’s weekly placement. It’s most likely going to remain Fridays. Thats where the permanent hits stays, and TCats will most likely be one of those.
I have to rely on friends to record it for me seeing I dont have cable. That or someone pulling it and putting it onto youtube seeing thats how I’ve been watching the new MLPFIM series. But they probably already have -alot- if not the whole season done now and are just voice acting and adding the score to it. Lets hope we get another season right? GAH CANT WAIT.
