Every collector makes mistakes. Sometimes we buy something of average quality for a high price, only to get a better version at a cheaper price. That happens, donāt let it upset or depress you. The best thing is, you can always sell off the first one once you have gotten a better version. Thatās the beauty of EBay.

Yes it is. Just setting a price is the difficult part. I mean I seen a figure for 150 bucks u.s. But same figure half that price over the pond. Cheaper even after exchange rates and shipping.

I did plenty of that when I was collecting lots of Transformers. The good thing about Transformers though was they were easy to disassemble so you could mix and match them to make a better version.
In that case you should buy more from the UK and Europe and maybe see if a friend or forum member on here could store the figures for you then ship the lot in a job lot to you.

Oh Iām buying overseas for sure. Ive actually started a conversation with a seller. He seems to be willing to work with me even on items he has not listed yet.

Thatās excellent. Sometimes it pays to do that. Thatās how I ended up getting a very rare item a few years ago for my collection.

As Mark suggested, a lot of collectors in the U.S have friends in Europe (and vice versa), and they bid/buy items on their behalf. Then it is cheaper to post all the items together rather than having each individual item shipped from each independent EBay seller.

Iām planning on buying from same seller and get a few items at a time. Im waiting on my first 2 items I just bought yesterday just waiting on a new combined invoice. When they come in Iāll post some pictures and if they look as good in hand, Iāll be doing business with them again for sure

Ok I got this in from a u.s. Seller so itās not from the international seller as mentioned above. I think I messed up but I still want your thoughts. Itās 100% original or at least that is what I was told.

Bengali looks right to me. Why do you think you messed up? A lot of Series 3 figures have at least some level of plastic rot. If this doesnāt bother you (it wouldnāt bother me much), then itās fine. Heās a hard fig to come by complete. Congrats on a nice find!

If youre not happy with it, it can be a place holder. You have the weapon which is vastly more rare then the figure. Keep an eye for another Bengali if you like. At least now that you have one, you can be a bit more patient when finding the right one. :thumbsup

Definitely looks legit to me. Well done! :thumbsup Donāt worry too much about the rot. Sometimes it doesnāt get worse and even if it does itās a very slow process. As others said here, the Hammer is more valuable and you got that. Loose Bengalis turn up every now and then and you can always pick up another one later on.
By the way, are you also interested in collecting the variants of each figure? There is one for Bengali.

Variant figures? Lmaoā¦I know theres a orange and red lion-o but never thought about variants as in figures. Feeling a bit noobish lol

:biggrin There are a lot of variants! Lion-O and Old Tygra have around 4 each, Slithe and Monkian have a couple, Cheetara, Panthro, Mumm-Ra, Tuska, Vultureman, Grune, Ma-Mutt, Bengali, Lynx-O, Jaga each have one variant. In some cases like Ratar-O the figure is the same but has three daggers/sais variants.

Thereās even more variants if you count the Playful and Glasslite versions. I have 3 Bengalis and 2 of the 3 Jagas.

Yeah, I was just mentioning the LJN variants. Since William is new to collecting, thought heād like to start small and then work his way up to the foreign variations as well. If we factor in the Playful, Glasslite, Unitoys, Macplay, Childbro, and Macplay figures as well then thereās oodles of variations! :00

Iāve never been able to spot a maroon Lion-O. any on ebay right now?
Maroon Lion-Oās are few and pretty hard to spot, especially on Ebay since the maroon color is quite close to the red and the photo quality on EBay isnāt always the best. Sometimes the only way to identify one is to compare its hair color to the Light Switch (which is pretty close to the Red hair color).
