I wasn’t thinking so much of it taking several seasons for him to grow to that size. I was thinking of them making time pass that fast in the few episodes they have scheduled. You could have in an episode where a narrator talks about several months passing at which time Lion-O has time to grow in size. Though if they do that, they should grow the kids as well or it will feel less realistic, even for a fantasy cartoon.
Speaking of the kids aging, I’m wondering if the kittens this time around are supposed to be a small cat breed again and therefore never grow to the full size of the rest of the Thundercats? I should have asked THAT at Wondercon.
in the leaked footage there is an adult cat with a tail like the twins. He’s shorter than the rest, but bigger than the kids.
Well I meant they’d get bigger but not quite as big as say Lion O and the rest. But either way that probably answers my question haha.
Probably a moot point, I doubt we’ll see the kids grow up in the cartoon. This sounds an awful lot like someone’s theory that the kittens in the original were really adult cats in small bodies.
If I were to guess, though, I would think they’d grow to a height like Lion-O and Tygra.
If having tails is a sign of lower class, then why Tygra doesn’t have one? He’s adopted after all. Unless all thunderians are born with a tail, and the royal ones get it cut off when born (kind of a circumcision), and Tygra got it cut when Clawdus decided to adopt him.
It also has to do with the breed of Cat. Maybe Tigers are a type that just aren’t born with tails on thundera?
Tygra may not be from a lower class background. Perhaps his parents were Thundercats that were killed in action and Claudus decided to raise him?
The kittens have always struck me as a Lion/Tiger mix. Maybe the tails are just an atavism that pops up in mixed breeds?
Why do you assume his being adopted means he was born into a lower class family? The child of nobles would become orphaned if their parents died and it would be logical to assume another noble family would take the child in if he or she had no relatives to do so. Clearly Tygra was not born to common cats, he is a very clear and specific breed. Just a thought.
And I think it’s spelled Claudus. 
I thought it was Clawdus… a word-game with “claw” and the name Claudus 
In all the interviews I’ve seen where it was typed out they spelled it Claudus.
Ok, Claudus it is then.
But consider many times the ones who type it are the interviewers, not the writers, so they might just type it as they hear it, not as it really is spelled. Just a thought.
ok, just to fair. here you go. in the original Jim Meskimen design, he spells it “Claud-us.”

I just thought of this.
Remember the scene where Lion-O and Tygra are competing t get to that bell, and Tygra is higher than Lion-O, and tells him that, besides the crwon, he will be second in everything?
Do you think that’s a “reminisence” of the Trail of Mind Power episode? That episode begins with Tygra telling Lion-O what he will be facing, and again, he is in higher ground. Maybe they wanted to “honor” that episode.
Maybe I missed the comment, but did anyone notice at least one easter egg for the classic fans in the 9 minute preview?
Tygra’s line the first time we see him use his whip to go invisible: “Now you see me, now you don’t” is the opposite of his line in Exodus: “Now you don’t see me, now you do.”
I thought that was pretty sweet.
Nice catch.
But, in Exodus, Tygra turns invisible without using his whip (btw, something he only did in 2 other eps: “Pumm-Ra” and “Trial of Mind Power”)
I saw the leaked video and I must say, being a fan from the 80s cartoon when I was a little kid… I am more excited than I was!
I thought the animation was good, the dialogue was good, voice acting was good, everything was great actually.
If the rest of the series is as good as everything I have seen so far, we have another classic on our hands
