I have noticed some characteristics of 8 Back Mumm Ra That i thought I would share.
Pauly, Lordore and Myself all have [COLOR=“Red”]Unpunched 8 back Mumm Ra’s.
None of the three have a sticker on the blister/bubble identifying the figure inside.
I am new to these forums and new to Thundercats collecting but this seems very strange to me. I have read how a ton of Series 3 figures got dumped onto the UK market in 1998-99…did something similar happen with a case of Mumm Ra’s? thats the only thing i can figure, is that these figures showed up after Thundercats had already become a collectible (been discontinued from store shelfs) that would explain why none of them are punched. Interested to know anyone else’s theories
Also of interest - there are more graded 8 Back Mumm-Ra’s than any other 8 Back figure, with - 1@85, 6@80, 2@75, 2@70 and 2@60 (this doesn’t account for UK graded figures)
you make a good point here. he is the only graded figure I have without the name sticker, never really noticed until now. Also I checked with the Graders and mine is the only 1 at 80% they have registered at UKG.
Not sure if I am understanding very well about the name sticker but the Mumm-Ra name is already written directly on the card, it is why at my eyes none of them got a name Sticker on the bubble.
And that could very well be why Mumm-Ra and Lion-O did not recieve bubble stickers, however, in the later series, they did get stickers on the cards…
