Apologies if this has already been brought up, but I couldn’t find a thread about it anywhere…
So, I got the Collector’s version of Mumm-Ra this week, and although he doesn’t have wings, I can’t help but notice the two panels/slots on his back. Do you guys think that:
a) Originally the figure was supposed to have attachable wings, but Bandai decided that it would be too expensive to include them at the last minute, or:
b) They intend to do an accessories pack at some point, or include the wings with Aged Mumm-Ra or something, and people can upgrade their figure then?
It would be nice if it were the latter, but I suspect it was the former. Personally, I wouldn’t even have minded if they had charged a buck or two more for him compared to the other Collector’s figs, seeing as he’s larger. So, what about you guys? Would you buy separate wings? Do you prefer the figure without? Or are the back panels a complete red herring?
I thought that too from the pictures, but the bandages that come with him slot into holes in the sides of his neck, and the red tatters into the back of his neck (you have to take off his helmet to attach them).
for clarity’s sake, which Mumm-Ra figure are we talking about here? from the initial post i was assuming you were talking about the new Classics Mumm-Ra (being that the Classics line is the “collector” line), and i think that is what the Cap’n was thinking as well, but your second post implies you are talking about the modern Mumm-Ra
maybe in the future it’ll be compatible with some kind of feature? i dont know why they wouldnt include the wings, i planned on getting 2 6 inchers, and 2 4 inchers, just to add the wings from the 4 incher to the 6 inch version. buti cant find the 6 inch 2011 mumm-ra, so i might not get to. and ill definatly wait untill i have all four bfore trying, just in case he goes up, like the 4 inch grune!
