A few good ones listed here:
Some that I would be in favor of are Jetsons, Pirates of Dark Water, She-Ra, Silverhawks and Thundercats (of course).

Thanks for sharing that link, adssse! Really enjoyed the article. :thumbsup I would definitely like to see a ThunderCats revival, as long as it respects and updates the source material (with more emphasis on the “respect”).

I totally agree with what the writer said about ThunderCats:
“It’s the ‘80s version we’d like to see revisited in the comics, with its sleek, simple designs intact.”

The cartoons I’d love to be brought back are ThunderCats, M.A.S.K., Captain Planet, Mighty Max, C.O.P.S., Darkwing Duck, SilverHawks, Jem and the Holograms, Gargoyles, Tiny Toon Adventures, Centurions, Street Sharks, Visionaries: Knights of the Magical Light, Captain N, Count Duckula, TaleSpin, Saber Rider and the Star Sheriffs, Animaniacs, Bucky O’Hare, Rugrats, Spiral Zone, Rainbow Brite, Doug, Eek the Cat, Marsupilami, Ren & Stimpy, King Arthur and the Knights of Justice, and Mummies Alive!

Duckula is kind of back. He was in an episode of the new Danger Mouse cartoon. I don’t know if he will be a recurring character though. Maybe it will lead to him getting his own spin off show again.

Heathcliff and Dennis were awesome. Heathcliff had a Saban and Levy theme tune like a lot of 80’s cartoons and it was awesome.

Definitely do remember Heathcliff and Dennis the Menace! When I first saw the Dennis the Menace cartoon, I was quite surprised as I was expecting it to be the cartoon version of the British D.C. Thomson comic character of the same name. But I ended up enjoying the cartoon version as well!

I seen the cartoon Dennis first so when I discovered the Beano Dennis I was quite surprised. I liked them both. I seen a lot of Dennis cartoons when I was young. But I read hundreds of the Beano comics starring him every week.
At the end of August 2000 when I was 15, a couple days before school started, I was in the supermarket and noticed a Dennis VHS and I couldn’t help it. I looked in my wallet at my pocket money and went and bought it.

I had never heard of the Beano Dennis! I just took a look and was surprised at how different he looks. Definitely a stark contrast and looks much tougher.

He has also had a couple animated shows. There was one in the mid 90’s and more recent one a few years ago.

Interestingly both the UK and US Dennis the Menace characters made their comic debut in March 1951! So I guess it must be a coincidence that two people, on separate continents, came up with a similar idea at the same time. And both the Dennis’ also have a faithful dog always by their side.

Ya, that’s true. While the U.S Dennis was much younger and often did not intend on causing trouble, the U.K. Dennis was slightly older, tougher, and a bully whose sole ambition is life was to torment everyone around him! (especially his dad and Walter the Softy).

Now that I think about it, it is curious that a bully was the main hero of the comic (U.K.). There were also other characters inspired by Dennis such as Minnie the Minx, Beryl the Peril, Roger the Dodger. All were troublemakers. Not really the best role models for kids! LOL! :biggrin But the stories usually ended with them getting punished so I guess that evens things out.

And the Bash Street Kids and Poison Ivy. I really like Dennis the Menace and Beryl the Peril.

Yes Ivy the Terrible. I have a comic though and a story is called Poison Ivy on the cover and she is dressed as a witch, that’s why I got confused.
