Since I’m the newbie on the team, here’s a little bit about me and a pic…seems like the appropriate place to put it :slight_smile:

Some basic stuff -

Name: Angie

Age: 32

Education: HS graduate, college dropout. I meant to go back, but you know how it goes!

Occupation: Since shortly after my son was born, it’s been housewife and mommy with occassional child care stints on the side for a bit o’ extra cash.
Hubby drives an 18-wheeler for a living, but it’s local so he’s home every night and on the weekends.

Family: Grew up with two older brothers in a small town.
Been married since 1995 (our 12 year anniversary is coming up in July) to a great guy that doesn’t get my Tcats fixation heh heh. Hubby turns 40 in March so I’m looking forward to teasing him :wink:
We have an 8 year old son in the third grade this year, named Justice (no, no - not after the Code. This name was hubby’s brainstorm, not mine!). I homeschooled J, as we call him for short, up until this year. He’s in a charter school now and I’m not sure I like it. Oh well. We won’t be having more kids - love kids but no need to press our luck, right?
We moved to the city of Flint, MI a little over 10 years ago and all the bad things you hear about Flint are pretty much true sigh Soon as we can afford it we are getting OUT! I grew up in the country, I want to go back there someday.

My dream: To actually write something that’s published.

Thundercats history: Twas a fan back in the day, interest faded with the teen years. Then came the late 90s CN reruns and that got me thinking about it again and daydreaming out this long-arse saga that’s pretty much the big fan fic I’ve been writing and posting for the past 5 years or so online.
Got on the Web in 2001, and decided to look up some of those old cartoons I used to like. Found Cheezey’s site, which REALLY sparked my interest along with a set of bootleg vhs of all 130 eps I bought off ebay about that time.
Then I started the aforementioned fan fic but figured no other sites would want to host it (the pinnacle of self-confidence I am not) so I made a geocities page to put it up myself. That was pretty much the way Return to Thundera started (it used to be called Purrsia’s ThunderCat Fan Fiction for the longest time, but I changed that a few years ago when it became obvious my writing wasn’t nearly all that it offered). Over the years, I just started adding more and more crap to it and collected certain things to add as well. I’ve changed web hosts and urls about a million times, too, and I tought myself html along the way. No more geocities site builder for me!
Five years later, I’m not done with the story but as you can tell, I got a bit sidetracked…dealing with this fandom and its inherent drama has been an interesting experience to say the least. I’ve done my fair share, I guess.

A few years ago, I also got back into Voltron, another of my favorite 80s shows, and put up a site for that as well called Voltron Central paying particular attention to the underrated vehicle version. I never lack for something to do when online! This housewife found a hobby :wink:

Random note: I guess I’m still a tomboy somewhat. I don’t have too much use for things like jewelry, make-up, or high heels even today. Low maitenance, I suppose! What you see is what you get.

Anyway, here’s a pic of me from this past summer while sitting by the pool at a friend’s house. I’m holding my favorite beer - Corona. I can take or leave the lime :wink:

All hail Corona beer. Its been a while since Ive had one, I think Ive posted my picture here a few times and once I posted a picture of me playing the most famous “Air Guitar”, I was drunk but oh well. Hopefully nobody will be able to find that one

or was the Camera being tested for work, so the pics taken being purely experimental? :wink:

It was actually part of a photography workshop demoing a cool application called aperture.. I just happened to be the only available model at the time :slight_smile:
