I know! In “Cracker’s Revenge”, all Pumyra gets to do is sit there. She doesn’t even get to come outside at the end of the episode.

I agree, especially since Tygra is my favorite. I also have a soft spot for Pumyra, I think cuz she could be so ignored by the writers.

I think Tygra’s completely out-of-character decision to navigate through a dangerous meteor shower in “The Mossland Monster” is also a WTF? moment for me.

What I mean is in the flashback Jaga looks like he did in Exodus. But there must have been a big gap between his battle with Grune and Exodus as none of the Thundercats recognize him when he appears to them in the Lair before Cheetara’s vision.

Yes I mean Grune. None of the nobles recognise him so his time a as a Thundercat must have been a long while before they became Thundercats.
Mind you I suppose the same can be said for Pumra when he is pretending he doesn’t know Cheetara is a Thundercat.

In “Thundercats Ho!” part II, when Snarf is captured by Rataro acts as though Snarf had previously been his prisoner even though that was actually Snarfer. That could be explained away as they look close enough, except that Snarf kinda goes along with it. Thats a WTF? moment.

I know, I was just pointing out that for some reason Jaga’s character model was slightly but noticeably modified in “Ghost Warrior”.

He had a belt and a holster for his sword, but he also seemed to be wearing some sort of undefined body armor around his sides. The biggest thing I noticed is the piece of armor on his left shoulder. These things are all only in “Ghost Warrior”, although he does appear (for whatever reason) with the “sword belt” when he appears in “Mumm-Ra Lives!” part I.

That’s true. Apart from the belt that Mark mentioned, Jaga was also donning a sort of body armor and a chain-mail armor (visible on his left shoulder).

Speaking of “The Ghost Warrior”, the thing that bugged me was how the episode uses Thundrainium.

  1. Thundrainium has no ill effect on Grune, even though he is a Thunderian (and a former ThunderCat) but it does affect Jaga. Which brings me to my second point:
  2. The spirits of both Grune and Jaga are treated liking living entities in this episode. Grune feels weak and needs Thundrillium to regain his strength while Jaga gets weakened by Thundrainium. Isn’t one of the coolest thing about being a spirit is that one does not require sustenance or be affected by bad things? Which brings me to my third point:
  3. How can Thundrainium (or anything else for that matter) weaken a spirit? Jaga was dead, and yet he felt the weakening effects of Thundrainium just like a living Thunderian. If he had been exposed to Thundrainium for a long time, what would happen? Would he… die again??? :00
  4. In this episode we see that Jaga can make himself visible to other ThunderCats if he wants to. Then why doesn’t he ever do that? Why only appear to Lion-O? Even in the episode “The Totem of Dera” when Lion-O is poisoned and dying, Jaga acts like he cannot become visible and tell Snarfer what to do. Instead he chooses to use mental telepathy to do that.

  1. My guess is that at this point they only intended for thundrainium to affect current Thundercats whether living or dead. It helps the episode make sense in and of itself. After Leonard Starr wrote that it weakens all Thunderians in “Thundercats Ho!” the plothole was created.
    2 and 3. I know! I was watching this episode recently and at the part at the end where Tygra says, “That club will finish Jaga, in moments” I was thinking…and then what? Exactly as you thought - would he die..again? I’m mostly surprised at myself for only realizing that weird logic until recently. Its so beautifully written and animated, I just overlooked it I guess.
  2. I always figured this was a special circumstance because Lion-O used the sword to summon Jaga and that’s why he was not only visible to all, but also a giant.

Speaking of thundranium and WTF moments -

Ya know how in “Sideswipe” Mandora has to take Lynx-O with her so he can use his braille-board to get into Darkside? I guess they forgot that Mandora could have just gone herself through Fire Rock Mountain. Of course, all of “Sideswipe” I think is considered a WTF moment. I’ve just never seen this one pointed out.
