I believe my International Carded figures galleries need moving over too. But I’m sure those consist of just a few pages :slight_smile: (I never got around to updating them :frowning: )

Yep, and a couple of other bits & bobs too - I have a list here somewhere that I wrote out of what needs doing, so it’s all on the agenda! :slight_smile:

Actually there is another template-based area, the Custom Figures area that shows off some of Matt’s customs, I believe the pages are all identical in display except for swapping around the respective pictures and text - if I put one together as a template, would you guys be able to handle transferring the rest? :slight_smile:

A couple of notes as usual:

  • The “parent page” for these is (perhaps rather unsurprisingly) custom figures, which itself is a subsection within “Toy Overview”. :slight_smile:

  • For the image(s) used, I’ve just straight out linked to the images already online in the site currently, as I think Neil is right, I don’t think there’s a big risk of these breaking when the new site launches. :slight_smile:

  • For each image you’ll need to adjust the alt text, title text, width and height properties to match the versions online in the site currently. :slight_smile:

UPDATE:

Couple of new pages ported over from the old site to the new - I can’t take credit for these, I was looking at the Toy Section in the new site and discovered that MannyF had moved over these two pages months ago! :slight_smile:

I’ve made a couple of tiny design tweaks, debugged one page where the link to the larger image was broken, and moved them to their relevant (sub-)sections, otherwise this is all MannyF’s work - if you’re reading this Manny, thanks for the great work on these! :thumbsup:

Here’s the index page for the LJN Toy Guide - please can you guys take a look and make sure all the links point to the right pages? :slight_smile: There were a couple of entries on there that I couldn’t find in the pages you’ve built, for example a 14-back of Lion-O on his own and likewise one of the Tygra’s - did I miss them when I was looking for them? If so, LMK the page URL’s and I’ll add them! :slight_smile:

As I was going through I realised this was affecting a lot more pages than I thought - in the end it ended up driving me crazy, as it’s a stupid mistake that I made when I put the template together! :frowning:

…So, I actually took a massive liberty and went in and corrected all of the instances of it happening on each page! This was a very long job, but I felt it was worth doing - you guys have done an amazing job with all of these and felt it wasn’t fair to the great job that you’ve done for some pages to display incorrectly because I messed up! Hope this was OK to do. :slight_smile:

The good news is that the LJN Toy Guide is now ready to launch in the new site! Just off to work on the other index pages that need doing now… :slight_smile:

By my reckoning that means the only pages for the LJN Toy Guide that are missing are the 14-back Lion-O and the red-haired 14-back Lion-O with Snarf PVC - out of interest, do you guys have access to these? :slight_smile:

That’s my lot for tonight, absolutely knackered - Variations index (and maybe try and finish off those pages - unfortunately no two of them are the same so can’t really do a template) tomorrow, also index pages for the Classic 1980s Merchandise + the Mini-Figures! :slight_smile:

I think tomorrow we can pull the trigger and launch - even if those pages aren’t finished when Manny’s ready, it should be a matter of a few hours until those could be added to the site! :slight_smile:

Thanks Chris for putting all the index pages together…I think the people are going to be excited about the new look
On a side note…look to your left. I have edited everyones rank area to reflect the new logo. I have replaced the TCL Team Member with TCL Staff so that there is no distinction once the new mods come in. Plus makes everyone that is directly involved with the site have a uniform tag

Yep, that’s been on my “to do” list for ages - my own judgement is that along with the Variations pages and Foreign Figures gallery that’s the most important Toy Section page not ported over yet (although obviously you guys would be better placed than me to judge)! :slight_smile:

If you wanted to have a stab at it, Neil, if it was helpful I could set you up with a blank page with the header - I’m sure you could an awesome job with it (and if you happened to get stuck with anything I could help you out), and to be truthful you’d be taking a bit of pressure off my shoulders if you were able to! :slight_smile:
