I don’t understand why there’s over 4,000 “likes” on the official thundercats FB page on the finale previews column but only 2,100 signatures on the petition. You would figure that all these people would have signed the petition. There is also 13,000 people that were active on the page for the month of June. It would be great if all those people signed the petition. I actually asked to put the petition on the official page but with no response. I knew they wouldn’t respond but I wanted to try anyway.

I doubt everyone who “liked” the official FB page knows about the petition. All they receive on their timeline is what is posted from the page, not what other fans post on it.
I wish they would let people post on their page, but then again I don’t seeing the dumb@$$ people saying “The OS is so much better! This show sucks!” I’m sure we would have thousands of more signatures if we could post that on the page. We need to spread it as far as we can for now. I even posted it on my band’s page on Facebook (we’re all fans of the show)!
I’m also a fan of the OS pumyra as well!!! But there has to be more we can do to save the show.
I’m sorry, but I feel I need to let this out.
With so many unanswered questions in the show and in real life, CN has no right to cancel this show. I’ve been holding back my anger for awhile, but this needs to be done. They have no excuse for letting this show die the way it seems it will. This show gets decent ratings and has one of the most dedicated fan followings I have seen in a kids’ show since Avatar: The Last Airbender. The ratings have remained up-to-par and even above with other very popular shows on CN, including Young Justice and Green Lantern (which it beats 99% of the time, even with new episodes).
I don’t think they realize what they’re doing by not letting this show continue. It will absolutely ruin their Saturday morning action block. Many people who watch this show also watch Young Justice and Green Lantern. If this show isn’t on, then people won’t get up for it. This could result in major drops in ratings for the following shows, seeing that they get nearly the same ratings (besides Green Lantern). Young Justice and Green Lantern being on indefinite hiatuses also ruin their block. With The Legend of Korra airing on Nick, this rids of Nick’s Saturday morning competition altogether. In other words, they’re digging their own grave.
They have also obviously not seen how much the fans love the show. The plot of the show could have not been any better, no matter how many complaints you have. With the season finale being so good and generating mass amounts of talkback, the fans are showing they want a second season. There’s only one person I’ve seen on any forum who literally doesn’t want a second season (but let’s not mention names). Even on Facebook, most of the posts say “I hope it isn’t cancelled” or “It would be a shame if they cancelled it now” or even “You better not cancel this show!” (minus the stupid “Old series was better!” comments that a handful still seem to do). There are obvious fans of this series that are willing to fight to the last breath to get the show back.
These points make me ask myself; Why would they even think of cancelling it? I just don’t understand anything anymore. It seems like they’re just cancelling it for the hell of it, so they can put another terrible show they made in its place.
We all know this is not the first time they have left us hanging with a renewal. Teen Titans was promised a sixth season, only for it to be shot down by CN, not WB, just because of the story they were portraying in it. Symbionic Titan’s ordeal was a huge mess. I know there were other shows, but I can’t remember them off the top of my head. However, the He-Man reboot got renewed. Otherwise, I think CN just doesn’t like action shows they don’t make themselves.
The wave 2 of the toyline is also now being shipped internationally and is selling well (as shown by Bandai UK, where Panthro’s figure was up at #2 for most popular products, followed by other TCats figures closely following). It is officially not cancelled, as shown by several articles where Bandai themselves have said so.
Another point I have to bring up is that the show is popular internationally as well. This is only from what I’ve seen on this forum, but it seems like, especially in the UK, it has a good amount of fans. They even get a comic book! :lionomad:

In short, there is no reason for this show to be cancelled.
I’ve been trying to figure it out for months myself, and the only conclusion I can come to - based on my admittedly non-insider information - is there’s some political wrangling going on behind the scenes at CN that is holding the whole thing up.
I don’t see the ratings, toy sales, or the quality of the overall product as obvious problems. There are signs that those aspects of the show are fine from what we know so far. But Matt mentioned CN was skeptical of the show, and I felt Dan’s frustrated comments have been directed at the network’s dragging its feet on the decision.
It leaves me to think some executive at the network thinks it is stealing thunder from another show, or has something personally against the crew, or thinks it “doesn’t sell the brand” and just doesn’t want it around anymore. It could be just as banal as that.
In any event, if CN is re-airing the entire first season, I think that’s a good sign they have not made a decision yet and are “stalling for time” until they figure out if they really want to abandon a great series for no real good reason, and risk a competing network taking it on instead.

Campaigns have worked to give many shows another shot. The best known example was probably Star Trek, which wouldn’t have lasted beyond its first season had it not been from write-in campaigns from fans. It went on for two more before NBC finally pulled the plug.
Other shows that got another shot thanks to fan input were Roswell (fans sent bottles of tobasco sauce; the aliens’ preferred condiment) and Jericho (fans sent cans of nuts in response to the characters’ reply of “Surrender? Nuts!” at the season finale). So it has worked in the past.
What can we send CN, then? I dunno. Catnip maybe?
I still don’t quite believe the show is cancelled, and will continue to assume it’s still on their roster until CN comes out and says otherwise, even if sites like IGN seem to want to come out and pronounce the show dead already without a shred of evidence to back it up. The Looney Tunes Show also hasn’t been announced, but it’s been assumed it will be back. TCats has been pulling ratings on par with Young Justice, Green Lantern and Ben 10, which serves as its lead-in. With that in mind, it makes no sense to cancel the show if its doing that well. And none of these other shows, with the exception of Ben 10, has had the benefit of a toy line attached to it. If the show was cancelled, don’t you think CN would have already issued a statement by now? The fact that they haven’t issued a reply to any inquiries I think is telling.
Or its human equivalent, BC Kind Bud. I think they’d appreciate that more. 
That’s how I feel as well. I’m not in denial of the possibility, but if CN really wanted to get rid of the show, I think we would know already beyond a shadow of a doubt. There is no incentive for them to invest in uncertainty. The sooner they get a “bad” show out, the sooner they can substitute what they want.
Since there is no official word yet and the season is scheduled to re-play from the beginning, I reckon they are still up in the air about it. The last DVD installment doesn’t come out until October, they may wait and see how the sales are before making a decision. And the second DVD just came out a few weeks ago.
They may have realized at some point that the show got off on the wrong foot, being in a bad time slot and really under-promoted. Maybe they’ll try a proper re-play from the start and gauge the result before making a decision. I noticed the advertising during T-Cats was much higher in quality towards the end of the season than in the beginning (no more Shirley Temple ads!), which is a good sign.
I understand how the actors and artists are frustrated and gloomy, being in limbo is not any more fun for them than it is for us…that is their paycheck and their curriculum vitae on the line, after all. They’re more invested in it than we are.
Another thing is they all seem to really enjoy the show itself, regardless of how much money they make. I’ve seen some interviews with the cast and they can’t stop talking about how much they love the direction of the show and how great it is working on such an amazing series. It didn’t seem like something they were forced to say, either.
This is an interesting speculation , but I wouldn’t go this far with it . they have won the battle for it before , and they will again
