Actually, you’d be surprised. Mine’s a pretty big jerk, and isn’t near as successful as I am and he’s 5 years older. He dropped out of college and just stays at home and won’t let me do anything I want to do. I don’t know about death but if something bad happened to him, I wouldn’t care.
Back on topic, he expected Cheetara to forget what he had said earlier and fight with him so they could save themselves and Tygra, but she didn’t. So they were all in danger of death.

I agree with you, back at that point he was driven by a load of negative feelings.
How did he know the problem had a solution that did not involve releasing Tygra’s soul to the afterlife? We did because it’s a cartoon, but how did he know?
Here I am actually tempted to use the excuse I try to never accept and never thought I’d use… the writing. Lion-O seemed concerned enough earlier when Tygra was hurt. We believe (Native Son) he cares. We also have seen he and Tygra have patched up a lot in their relationship. Lion-O has long since stopped taking everything Tygra says as an offense… (“How do you feel?” “Like you look” Was anyone offended? Not the lion!) yet Tygra’s soul is detached from his body and he goes all practical and efficient.
It’s just weird and it feels out of character to me.
I think it’s less of the writing, and more of the fact that the grieving would have taken up too much time in the small 22 minute slot it has.

That was why Grune ruined their date: Cos he’s a Cheetygra shipper! ThunderCats HE-YO! Plus Tygra looked rather old at the beginning and that close-up of Lion-O’s (red) eyes was SCAAAARY.
I’m glad they love this show too. But I wish they could do the same for ‘Generator Rex’ and also be a little kinder to Tintin. I mean, in ‘My Little War-Horse’ (The short before Jay Lion-O), start rant they kinda made out that Tintin’s adventures were “boring” and “European” and he was “French” and his name was “stupid!” end rant
