Amen to that! Long before TiVo, and DVR’s, our only option was to catch it when it aired. Some of us were lucky to own a VCR, and tape it, just to watch it later.

Being born in 1978, and growing up in the 1980’s, missing your Saturday morning lineup because of your parents’ plans was like the end of the world. You were lucky to catch a rerun of that one episode you were looking forward to in those days.

I was born in the 90s, but I didn’t get DVR until '07-sh and couldn’t tape things before then so I felt your pain.

All right! Why do I get the feeling that this is going to be one of those “S**t hitting the fan episodes?” (Or what J. Michael Straczynski would refer to as a “Wham! episode.” We’ve got a pretty epic battle teased here, plus from the previews it looks like there’s going to be some other major events occurring.

So… Mumm-Ra was willing to destroy at least an entire solar system - if not a whole galaxy - to forge the Sword of Plun-Darr? Now THAT’s evil! This definitely ain’t your daddy’s Thundercats no more!

That particular preview for some reason reminded me of some Coheed & Cambria lyrics (their music is always about stuff on a cosmic scale)…

Right-O children of the 1970’s…I am right there with you. Born in '76.

The early-to-mid '80s had some real classics of animation, both domestic and imported…Star Blazers, Robotech, Voltron, Tranzor Z, G.I.Joe, Transformers (1st Gen)…truly a great time.

I rarely watch TV anymore, but the NS has rekindled that childhood love of anime. Even with TiVo, I still run to the flat-screen now at 9:30am to see the new T-cats. Some things never change!

1975 child here… and both hubby and I are up and ready to watch Thundercats live as it airs this lovely Saturday morning. Our son would be with us, but he’s spending the weekend at Grandma’s.

I really hope they will make a lenghty fight out of this :lionomad: the action scenes were way too short lately . and I miss stuff like what we had in the Forest of Magi Or . or Between brothers .

Native Son had a good amount of action. So did The Pit.

I think this is going to be more like “Die Hard in a Mountain.” Lion-O and Pumyra’s primary objective is evasion, that’s why he shatters the bridge rather than fighting Addicus. There will probably be a fight at the end when their backs are well and truly to the wall.

LOL as a child of the 1970’s, I’m going to defend it for Saturday morning cartoons. Because this was before cable or video recordings, this was the only time you could watch them.

Yeah but the programmes were rubbish! Lol!! (I’m only kidding)! I am glad I was born in 79 though, that way I got to enjoy all the 80s cartoons as a child!

Unfortunately that is what happens when they use up too many valuable minutes making sure everyone has a romance!!! Better sticking to the action I think.

Not really … In native son , the moment where Tygra’s dad gone beserk was AWESOME but again - too short . maybe just a few seconds of great animation (this is still my favorite one of this season so far though) same for The Pit - for an episode that happens in a fighting arena we barely got any action…

It was more like action to fill the gap between scenes . and not well thought like this show can offer at times .
