My guess is there wasn’t anything to “win” in that trial. It was to illustrate that Lion-O is his own worst enemy, and it is his own lack of confidence he needs to overcome. It isn’t Tygra he has to defeat; it’s his own nature. Ipso facto, no gold key at the end.

Or he just failed and Jaga said “Meh, mulligan” and waved his magic staff.

Pretty much, yeah. I’m willing to bet Tygra’s key leads directly to Mumm-Ra.

I agree that Lion-O needs to mature, but time shouldn’t be taken away from the other ThunderCats either.

I still would like to know how he gets his life even though he fails the trial.

That was my point rizefall, I don’t think he DID fail, if he came out with a stronger self belief and a better understanding of his relationship with tygra.
