My “ThunderCats” revival started in 1997 when Cartoon Network broadcast the show on their Toonami block. There were some episodes that I remember and even some I’d never seen before. Again my love of “ThunderCats” was revived when it was released on DVD between 2005 and 2006. I own all four volumes, too. 
After reading all the other comments about the VHS tapes I must say that some of my fondest memories of the cartoon also was watching the episodes I got recorded. I also liked having various other cartoons that were on that day/week on the same tape. The standard tape would be Thundercats, Defenders of the Earth, Gummi Bears, Chip n’ Dale Rescue Rangers, Ewoks, He-Man, Scooby Doo, various cartoons like Tom and Jerry, Bugs Bunny etc.
Back in the 80’s early 90’s we got a second video player after the first one broke but got it fixed, but it wasn’t perfect. We also had various leads that came with a camcorder which allowed up to copy video tapes. So I when I rented Thundercats Ho The Movie my Dad copied it for me.
He also made a video with most of the other episodes on other tapes collected on one.
LiamABC I only seen two episodes of Visionaries on TV in the 80’s. It wasn’t until the early 90’s (93 onwards) I started finding videos of them in the shops etc. The first tape was ‘Power of the Wise’ and Claw of Dragon, Horn of Unicorn’.
Oh, how I miss the '80s.
ThunderCats typically came on at 4:00 or 4:30 in the afternoon. It was usually half over by the time I got home from school. But I remember one random Saturday afternoon, I turned on the TV, and it was on. I sat down to watch it, and it kept going, and going, and going. Turned out it was “ThunderCats Ho! The Movie” playing in its entirety, and I happened to catch the whole thing. Bliss.
Even better: my dad, who always hit me with a ton of chores to do on Saturdays, didn’t make me turn it off.

I can still remember I was about 9 years old when ThunderCats aired on our local TV station in 1986. It used to be on a Monday afternoon. It was my absolute favourite cartoon to watch, and I used to get so upset if we weren’t home when it was on. We didn’t have a VHS recorder at that stage so I could never record it. Luckily one of my friends recorded it and I would always watch the episodes I missed at his place later on. I loved the theme song, and I would sing it over and over after each show. The episode with Grune (The Ghost Warrior) always stuck with me..
I remember borrowing his tapes later on when we finally got our VHS and I would watch them over and over … hehe.
Our country never aired the second season, so we never could figure out where the new ThunderCats fit in when the figures came out .. I only watched the second season in 2008 (yep believe it) when I bought the DVD’s, and I must say it was such a treat to finally see what happened and where the other ThunderCats came from … it was like reliving those childhood years. Me and my wife would watch up to five episodes in a row and just laugh at how two adults could get so excited over a cartoon series .. hehe
So now my boy is almost two, and I am slowly starting to show him some ThunderCats. Hopefully the new toys and the show will have him hooked like me! :liono:liono:liono

I remember watching it for the first time during CBBC in 1987. I really remember it cause I argued with my mum that Lion-O was indeed called Lion-O and not Lionel as she so vehemently insisted. The episode was The Astral Prison. I then also remember collecting the old UK comics, this all started because we had gone to the newsagent near my nans as my dad used to buy a newspaper everyday. She gave me some money to buy a comic and I chose the Thundercat one straight away, and would not miss an issue for the next 3 years. That Christmas I got my first lot of action figures, oh so many memories now flooding my brain
