I am with you! I am cautious, but am looking forward to something new regarding the franchise. I am willing to go into it with a positive attitude and hope for the best!
Here is a podcast regarding TCR. Nothing concrete, but just the hosts with their opinions…

Hopefully Thundercats will eventually get the same treatment for the original fans on a streaming network as MOTU:
2020 is going to be a great year!:panthro

Well, I tried to give it a fair chance, but after watching the first two Exodus bits, I really don’t care for it.
If people like it, great, I hope they enjoy it as long as it runs, but it is just not for me. I just hope that the people who enjoy it, are allowed to without being abused or treated unfairly-a lot of that goes on when it comes to shows, especially reboots of an already beloved property, and it’s unfortunate.
This is an old thread, and I am, fairly sure people are over it, but you know, I never had it in or hated the show or its’ connected artists the way I do now until that episode of Teen Titans Go that shoved people’s honest opinions of the new ThunderCats show right back in their faces with a “finger”.
There’s been enough of it out there, but I have never seen anyone, at least in here, outright just say that 'Roar was complete excrement and that be it. Everyone had respectful reasons why they didn’t like it, wouldn’t support it, and articulated it in a polite manner eschewing personal insults directed at the producers, animators, and writers of the show.
Then …they make the TTG episode, Teen Titans Roar, that clearly stated that anyone who didn’t like the new product were boorish, childish, unwashed, uneducated, unworthy of a shred of consideration, and did it a manner in which was childish themselves. The fact that Warner Brothers compelled Larry Kenney to reprise his role as the main character of the classic show and throw his hat in by declaring the 'Roar show a suitable continuation of the franchise, and that people who didn’t agree were “poop heads with poop ideas” was the most disrespectful part of all, that and the cherry on top, the last scene. I’m sure that Mr. Kenney wants to feed himself and his family, but I truly don’t think his heart was in that, and it was wrong of WB to ask him to do it, unless he just wanted the money, which I am okay with because contracts are contracts. WB had Kenney do that, however, because they knew it would anger fand of the source material. With just that one 15-minute episode, I changed my mind completely about 'Roar, because they undid any sort of sympathy I might have had (because it’s hard to launch a new show based on a pre-existing franchise), any shred of credibility, and destroyed my desire to either support their new show, take them or their efforts seriously, or buy anything else they churn out. If that’s how they treat any fans of any franchise they own old or not, I want no part of them. I am also sure that you all appreciated the irony of the roast of ThunderCats 1985’s fans in Teen Titans Go, another “revamp” show that is based on a far superior previous version that they have allowed to go to seed.
