I think it is logic to expect a drop since the premiere. That double episode sure rised some expectations and people watched it. Maybe some got disappointed then, and some in the two following eps (“Ramlak Rising” and “Song of the Petalars”) which, in all honesty, weren’t great at all. So people stopped watching thinking the show was mediocre (to say the most) and didn’t bother to tune in again, and maybe won’t do it.
And that’s the show’s fault only. If you want to maintain an audience, you have to capture them from the beginning and keep them like that for at least 5 eps, just then you can allow yourself to have a bad episode, knowing your fanbase is somehow loyal now. But if the third and fourth eps are less than good, and your audience isn’t yet “in love” with the show, they will turn their backs on it.
Ramlak’s biggest fault was that it followed the premiere. It’s actually a decent episode watching it on its own. I’ve heard nothing but good things about Petalars and it had really good ratings.

Absolutely. After some of the more recent episodes my opinion of what I considered filler in Book One has changed dramatically. Those were actually really good episodes comparing them to episodes like “The Duelist and the Drifter” or “The Forest of Magi Oar” which are probably my least favorite episodes.
As I said, I think once people left the show (because of less than good eps in the middle of the series), it’s hard for them to go back to it because they can hardly know about its improvement.

tvbythenumbers was being idiots with their list again. not only did thundercats get higher ratings than a couple shows on their list they included family guy and american dad airing on adult swim. they’re supposed to list new episodes only and new episodes of those are on sunday nights on fox.
Spongebob pulls in 3 million viewers…? I didn’t even know that show was still on.
Looking at that list I don’t see any other shows from CN (other than SW:CW). Were they not new this week or are the other CN shows on the Friday night lineup poor performers ratings-wise?
It’s one of those shows that continue to air even though the creatoer stopped helping. For kids it’s just teh same but for me and friends who watch it to laugh.. it’s not the same
