I don’t think it will. It’s peforming quite well in my opinion. As long as it peforms over a 7 (or keep steady on it’s number of viewers) I think it’ll be kept on the air.
Considering they made it more appealing to adults (who grew up on the original TC), it woudln’t surprise me if this show has some good staying power. As long as they don’t get too corny like the original series and keep the story interesting, I think it’ll run for a long while.
The new episode was great! My only complaint was Driller went down kind of fast.

Probably both I think. I’m thinking the latest episode will have more viewers for this episode or about as many as “Song of the Petelars.”

So it went down a little from the last episode, but still beat Ramlak Rising.
Not familiar with this rateing stuff is 6 good meaning if it stayed at a steady 6 will it warent a second season.
I think it’s doing pretty well for a primetime kids show on a Friday night. The 6.0 rating is in the 18-49 market.
Yeah I have to admit a lot of younger children are probably missing it as it on when either:
1/They are getting ready for bed.
2/It’s parents time to watch the TV.
I’m guessing on it’s repeat showing, it will air in a more kiddy friendly slot.

Ratings are indicating a demographic issue, in that the show is all over the map for an audience. The elementary school set is probably are not watching in big numbers because of the lateness of the hour. The middle school set can be 50/50. If you are looking for high schoolers, well it is a Friday night, so less likely. That leaves the college crowd and old timers. Also, in August people are catching the last rays of summer. Once school begins , and people are home numbers may rise.

Honestly I think they should repeat the episode from Friday on Saturday mornings like they do with all the other Friday night shows. I don’t understand why they’re not doing that with Thundercats.

I agree, they could probably get more viewers in the children audience by having a repeat of friday’s episode on saturday morning.
I work at an Elementary School as a lunch supervisor and in their After School Program, and literally 2 (brothers) out of a TON of kids even know the show exists! Any time I’ve talked about it, they just give me confused looks, like I’m lying about it. Lol. Cartoon Network needs to do something different. Kids would dig this show! Needs to repeat so they have the chance to see it.
I know exactly what you’re talking about. My 9 year old son had a friend over the other day and he asked him if he wanted to watch Thundercats w/ us. His friend had no idea what my son was talking about and when his friend was watching it, his eyes were glued to the tv and never turned away once.
kids would really get into the show if they would just repeat it more and at earlier times. I mean how could 9 year old kids not know about a show directed to there age range on CN.

There has to be some strong support for shows like Adventure Time and Destroy Build Destroy by some top management in Cartoon Network. The past three years has been a disaster as far as new shows that are any good. The kids in my family don’t watch any of those shows, and to be honest, stuff like “Chowder” and “Gumball” looks like garbage. Even as a kid I knew better than to watch shows like that. Something needs to be done, because Cartoon Network is ruining the chance for shows like Thundercats. I still can’t believe how they handled Samurai Jack, and that was years ago…
I didn’t care for the animation on Samurai Jack but it was quite a good show in my opinion. I hope Cartoon Network won’t butcher this modern version of Thundercats.
Hey, I like Chowder and Gumball. I think they’ve got cool art styles and humor.
Anyway, Cartoon Network just doesn’t treat its action shows as well as their comedy shows. I hardly ever see reruns of Generator Rex or Young Justice or even Ben 10. Heck, I don’t even see preview promos like they do with all the comedy shows. Maybe it has something to do with them being violent?
CN is putting ThunderCats so late because right now it’s the only action show with new episodes, and putting it at the end of the block means that viewers will watch the reruns before it. It might get a different time slot once all the other ones start showing, though I doubt it.
Maybe some kids haven’t heard about it yet because it premiered in the summer, which (from what I can tell) is when kids don’t watch as much tv, apparently. Hopefully when the new premieres come on, more kids will be made aware of it.
