The ThunDerianRoyalGuard Collection

Well, this is the US cover variant for number 1. The A-covers for the entire Reclaiming ThunDera series were done by Ed McGuinness.

They did 3 CosmoCats issues, #2 and #3 are the US McGuinness a-covers.

And I finally cracked and got this Slithe mini! I already owned a Lion-O and a Tygra from the same set and their awesome, so couldnt resist anymore!

And I finally found a decent plush Snarf, so cant wait to welcome him home!

Slithe looks pretty cool. I cant wait to see the plush Snarf! I have been wanting one of those for a while now but the price is always out of range.

I like the green Slithe figure. :3

Congrats on the new acquisitions! That green Slithe is really cool. Reminds me of Slimer from The Ghostbusters! I am not familiar with it. What toyline is it from? You mentioned that you already have a Lion-O and Tygra from the same set, are there more figures in the set?

Thanks! It’s not really clear who made them or were these figure come from, they are not licensed and have no copyright stamp or anything. Best guess is that these are the worlds best, most detailed bootlegs ever. I’d love to see the master-sculpt of any of these figures!

The Lion-O I have is based on his appearance in the Wildstorm comic series ThunderCats - The Return, were he wears the black suit with the ThunderCats insignia on his chest.

The Tygra also fits the design of the Wildstorm comics with a slim, muscular body type. The other figures in the set I have seen are Lion-O (reular outfit), Panthro, Mumm-Ra (mummy), Mumm-Ra (Ever Living) & Vultureman. They come in a variety of colors and all resemble the Wildstorm design.

Cool work on the Lion-O and Tygra figures, dude.

Those are neat. I didn’t realize they were based off of Wildstorm. Are these the only merchandise (aside from comics/posters) that are based off of Wildstorm?

Cool! I agree that as far as bootlegs go, these certainly are top-notch. And the fact that they are probably the only figures based on the Wildstorm comic characters’ looks makes them even more special.

It is a pity that they are made of clear plastic. The transparency makes it difficult to see and appreciate all the details. If these were made of normal plastic and painted, they would have been incredible!

Well, got some pretty cool items to share with you all today!

This is a Marketing Planner from Rainbow Toys from 1987! It was distributed to dealers and retailers.

The Marketing Planner mentions a Pocket Money Range, which basically means cheap, non-LJN, ThunderCats toys! I never knew the various toys all belonged to the same set. Anyway, this is the Pocket Money Range catalog distributed to dealers & retailers!

Both the Planner and the catalog are in mint condition. I’ve never seen either before and must be pretty rare. Very happy to add them to the ol’ collection!

And last, but not least: Snarf!

Snarf was in pretty good shape, though I treated him to a trip to the salon (kitchen sink + shampoo) for that new-car smell!

Stay tuned for more!

The planner and catalog look fantastic! Thanks for sharing bro  I don’t think I’ve ever seen even half the toys advertised in the “Pocket Money range” catalog.

Snarf looks really great! It must have been tough getting all the Candy Fruit stains off him! LOL!

Congrats on the new acquisitions!

Wow that is some incredibly rare and cool stuff! That catalog is definitely a keeper and a big congrats on the plush Snarf. He looks to be in great shape.

That catalog and plush Snarf toy are definitely awesome.

I’m pretty sure the ‘Dagger Set’ is the one I have - it’s the first one I’ve seen with just the dagger, belt and holster.

The Pocket Money Range catalog is incredible!!! i have been looking for something like that for years to get a better idea of what is out there!! I have been trying to find advertisements to go with the majority of pieces in my collection. I love it. Such an amazing find! and it also opened my eyes to some pieces i have never seen before and now must track down. Thank you for sharing this ThunderianRoyalGuard. You and your finds have outdone yourself once again. Truly awesome…

I love your display room, it’s very cool and I’m jealous of that french poster on the wall. :stuck_out_tongue:

Woooaaaa, you have much of 550 figures ? That is an impressive “army building”. It’s not my cup of tea, but it’s cool to see that !!!

Congratulations for all of your items and creations

ps : the french vhs edition is bad and incomprehensible. For my mind, there are 3 different vhs and the last is this without number :

ps2 : about the french edition comic book by semic. I wrote with Jerome Wicky some “bonus” for this edition because, the potential commercial for “Cosmocats” was too small in comparaison of the TV Show. And the first comic we have the source book… This edition was stopped rapidly. If they had waited only one year, they would have been able to benefit from the impact of the DVD VIDEO output of the show and sales grow up… (excuse my bad english, i’m french)

Thanks, man! I got that poster a few years back.. It’s from a TV-guide, CosmoCats won the Best Animated Show award (I think). And I actually have 680 ThunderCats figures

So I have to find another CosmoCats VHS? Uhg! Oh well  And it’s so cool that you were able to work on all those CosmoCats projects! A shame it was short lived… I have the CosmoCats DVD set (the 4 box set with yellow logo) and the encyclopedia. What’s the difference between the 4 box set and the 6 box set, with purple logo? And your english is way better then my french

This french poster is taken from “Pif Magazine”. This was a magazine for kids with "comicstrip, review, toys etc.
With this number, you’ve got the panini album and the same poster like your.

the 2 french edition suffer about 2 things :
First : the tv french order episode is not respected On the 2 dvd edition. And this order is not the same of original aered too.

Second : buziness and money. Explications. In 1986, only the first season of the show was translated and distributed. The second season was translated for the dvd output and after back on french tv. All the cast voice was changed, only Patrick Poivey (lion-o) DO IT.

So, the second season have no interest for nostalgic people, and that why we have the end of first season in the 3 box dvd. If you can buy 3 of 4, you can pay for the last For the complete serie.

The second edition with 6 box is an other technical commercial For sell much dvd. The price is low but you got the same disc.

I don’t approve this because, they have the possibily to do correction about the order of episode but they does nothing!:sneaky::lionomad:

Such interesting photos.

Finally! It was listed as a bootleg, but I recognized it:

Little rough around the edges, snakes are gone but I;m just stocked to finally have this guy!
