No that was the clear great Spirit of King Greyskull that was released in 2015.
The first re-release of King Greyskull was released in 2010 with a different coloured cape and sword.
The Bronze King Grayskull variant is one one the hardest to find…
wouldn’t surprise me scalp till your hearts content . oh i’am so bitter rite now :biggrin
Wasn’t that released at the same time as the first release in 2008?
And just my luck the power goes out a half hour before the sale and just came back on. Ah well try again tomorrow I guess.
After a rollercoaster of emotions directed at MattyCollector yesterday… excitement, anticipation, butterflies in the stomach… and then shock, disbelief, confusion, anger… I calmed down by evening and decided to give it another go today. I was prepared, logged in, tested the shopping cart process by adding things to my cart and taking them out… then the refreshing started… it was 9:01am PT by my watch when they went live. It was still 9:01am when I had my order confirmation. Today, relief is turning into excitement slowly. I’m still upset at how MattyCollector is handling the core team, but my collection won’t be missing the twins and I won’t be paying scalper prices. That part makes me very happy. For all who missed out, try again tomorrow. I had errors and problems for the 3 minutes they were available yesterday, but today was smooth as butter on a bald monkey.
That guy Val did worked on the MOTU comic. His comment said about how getting MOTUC through every year was a struggle. There are plans for 2017 but they could still change and it could still e cancelled at any time. But the fans should not give up hope.
Yes that and the fact that the re release was also a new paint deco, so not “really” the same as the original SDCC release !
I also heard from another source that ther will be figures, just not a lot of them… so let’s hold thumbs!
Yes. when you bought King Grayskull at SDCC you didnt know which one you were getting…like a blind box. you either got the regular color, or the bronze.
oh…and that guy “Val” …owns He-Man.org. and put on Power-Con. fyi.
Success! I took englishw’s advice and built a few practice carts, making sure I was consistently logged in. Added the Kittens to my cart at 12:01, wasted a moment refreshing the quantity, wasted another moment messing up the captcha, and still checked out successfully by 12:02. Phew!
Got it. Used the practice cart method.
Really? I didn’t know that. Someone mentioned to me that he was the guy that did work on the 2003 comic. I am not a He-Man.org member I just read some of the comments from time to time.
I have never heard that expression before LOL.
Failed again ![]()
I used the practice cart method and everything went smooth … Hit submit order with a smile of hope on my face and once again that sarcastic heart wrenching text appears on my screen - “sorry thundercats Wilykit and wilykat sold out … Please remove from cart to proceed”
I notice the other figures are lasting longer this time round though
I tried again tonight. I have 2 sets sorted already, one from eBay and one from someone going to sdcc. Just want to keep them out of the scalpers hands, so I was gonna get 3 and see if anyone missed out. I was refreshing the page constantly until they were available at 12:01, my order was submitted at 12:03, all gone again.
Is anybody else getting the "authorization payment failed " error even though everything is fine?
Damn I can’t get them because of this. Two freaking days in a row already and it keeps giving me the same error.
My connection seemed to dip when I hit submit order … I literally had everything ready to go and punched submit order within 20 seconds.
Then there was a massive wait while it loaded but eventually just gave me the usual sold out crap
Don’t know why I even got my hopes up
Success! I also went and did the dummy cart thing to make sure I was logged in this time - great trick I’m gonna have to remember. I see people on other boards (especially he-man.org - some of them people over there are pretty hardcore) complaining about the staggering of the items out. ? I honestly think it was a great way to do it. Sure the fast sell outs are annoying as F - but they are giving us a crack at them everyday, unlike the madness that has been the Filmation He-Man figure sell outs where once they’re gone, they’re gone. Thank god for the subscription, this is definitely not an experience i’d wanna deal with on a monthly basis.
