I’ve been contemplating on whether I should just fork out the $130 odd to get the kittens, but lately I’ve been reading everywhere that people shouldn’t panic as they’ll be up on the Matty site after the con. Will have to check in regularly then to see when they go on sale, wouldn’t want to miss them. PLUS I also read that Club Third Earth subscribers will get access to buying them. There’s hope after all. I want me some kittens

I would hold off a bit, at least until people who CAN preorder have done so, if you’re going the aftermarket route.

i think the subbers will get a good shot at getting them on matty after sdcc so i’am not to worried just yet .
These are my tips for buying anything on Matty. When they announce the day and time of the sale I set a reminder on my phone. I go on eBay and find some options to put on my watch list. Usually prices will settle a bit because people are waiting to snag one at the Matty sale. On the day of sale I log into Matty usually 5 minutes before the sale and wait. I almost always get what I’m after as long as I am logged on and ready. If They do sell out I immediately go on eBay and buy the cheapest option that I have saved. After the sell out the prices usually go up quick so it’s best to have some saved at the lower prices.

This has somewhat been my method too. The closer to noon EST you can log in, the better your chances of getting the exclusives. I’ve never had any issues getting the ones that I want, but again - I didn’t want Rotar/Twistoid, so I cannot speak for last year.

the filmation skeletor sold out in less than two minutes i know it isn’t the same line but if this happens with the kittens it could be ebay for a lot of us .:rolleyes:
Ya, that is my concern even if they are available after the con unless it’s open for those who subbed first.
i’am hoping the people that subbed get early access . lets hope matty does the rite thing for our loyalty .

Bollox! I was going to get one of those for a mate. Had the page ready to go on a saved tab, didn’t realise when the date of release was. I’m going to have to be far more on the ball when it comes to Thundercats.
Yeah, I was interested in the Filmation Skeletor as well. I was actually waiting for toynewsi.com to provide an update regarding Skeletor on their website. Usually they are on top of their game.
We already know that the Mattycollector FB page is not up to date.

I think I may have cracked the problem.
..Since I wasn’t willing to pay $135+ on eBay, I just messaged 2 sellers, with good feedback , and made an offer to them of $100 plus shipping. That’s $40 for them to pick up the exclusive and then send it out to me. I wasn’t pushy or angry I just told them I thought that was a reasonable offer and that I could probably buy the exclusive after the con but I didn’t want to risk it. But it’s a guaranteed $40 for them, and a take it or leave it situation.
Well they both said sure. I thought they were going to laugh in my face. But now all I have to do is pay the PayPal invoice I’m being sent, and done. Using PayPal should give me some security, and well one seller has over 3000 positive feedback so I feel good about that.
It’s still $40, but it’s guaranteed, no hoping for post con sales. And it’s far less than $70+ And eBay bidding wars. So it works for me.
FYI - here’s the response I got from Mattycollector when I emailed a complaint about their pick up only rule for the SDCC exclusive.

I was tempted by the Filmation He-man and Skeletor figures but the actual figures are messed up and don’t looks anywhere near as good as the prototypes.
Im glad that I subbed for CG although I wasnt at the beginning. I love them. I dont have any problems with them as many do. Got my email that Skelly has been shipped so i will get him roughly near the end of July. Depending on customs. Trap jaw took longer than he man did.
Im still worried about getting the twins. A lot of people say dont worry matty will put it up. That is not the problem. Getting to buy is the problem. Look how fast these CG sell out. I think the twins will also sell out fast. I think the best bet in getting them would probably through BBTS when they put it up for pre order.
